DICE has just revealed the Ultra++ PC requirements for Battlefield 6. These Ultra++ PC specs cover two resolutions at different framerates. So, let’s take a closer look at them.
According to DICE, the Ultra++ PC specs are for gaming at 4K/144FPS with High Settings, or at 4K/240Hz with Ultra Settings. These PC specs are NOT for the Overkill/Max Settings that BF6 has. So, make sure to keep that in mind.
The Ultra++ PC specs list an Intel Core 9 Ultra 285K or an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D with 32GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080. With this PC setup, you will be able to game at 4K/144FPS on High Settings with DLSS 4 Super Resolution. For gaming at 4K/240FPS on Ultra Settings, you’ll have to use both DLSS 4 Super Resolution and DLSS 4 Frame Gen.
NVIDIA has already provided us with a review code, so expect a day-1 PC Performance Analysis. If you’ve played the recent Open Betas, you pretty much know what you’ll get. But anyway, we’ll have more to say in a couple of days.
As we’ve already reported, Battlefield 6 will require both Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 on PC. As such, PC gamers will have to enable them from their BIOS. Otherwise, you won’t be able to play it. To combat cheaters, BF6 will also use EA’s Javelin anti-cheat system.
It’s also worth noting that Battlefield 6 does not have an Offline Mode. A lot of players have been wondering about this. Even if you want to play the single-player campaign, you’ll need an online connection. So, no. You won’t be able to play the single-player campaign in Offline mode.
EA will release Battlefield 6 on October 10th. The game is using the Frostbite Engine, and it will not have any Ray Tracing effects.

There isn't much performance left on silicon as we approach the finite size limits of how small we make transistors. We have to rely on software solutions for improvements now. The plus side is that GPUs are staying relevant for longer strokes 3080.

Are you dumb? The performance without DLSS or frame gen is 120fps at 4k. That's plenty "respectable".
Absurd that having the option to run the game at 400FPS is seen as a bad thing.

As for the PC requirements, they're pretty solid, but the frame generation option really shouldn't be included. It just makes them look like they didn't optimize the game even though the beta ran pretty well for a wide range of PCs.

These specs aren't real. You're not getting 144fps @ 4k without frame gen on a 5080. It says you only need frame gen for 240fps.
4090 is superior to a 5080 when not using multi frame gen. I couldn't even get 144fps in the open beta @ 1440p. There's a 0% chance you're getting 144fps @ 4k
Not to mention we played all the smallest maps in the open beta. Going to be worse on the bigger maps.

I still remember when Ngreedia claimed that the $550 5070 (non-Ti) is just as powerful as the $1600 4090 without frame gen, and yet when it released it turned out that even the $1000 5080 is almost exactly just as weak as the 4080 (which that one was already very expansive and underdelivers for its price). So in other words; excluding the 5080's frame gen, there's literally no reason whatsoever to get it, you're just buying the same GPU from 2022 at $1000.
