Modder gabdeg has released the first version of his RTX Remix Mod for Manhunt. Manhunt Remixed adds full path-traced lighting and high-res environmental and character textures to all 20 levels of the game. As such, players will be able to play it, from start to finish, with Path Tracing.
Going into more details, the game’s lighting was redone by switching between the original graphics and the new RTX Remix version during gameplay. Lights had to be placed one by one, either on objects or directly in the levels. Since the original game’s lights didn’t work with path tracing, they were removed. So, the modder had to make sure every part of every level was bright enough. This meant picking the right light color, strength, size, and angle based on how it was used in the game.
The textures were improved using a tool called PBRFusion 3.0. After that, they were checked in the game and edited by hand in programs like Photoshop or Paint.NET. The team made sure that each part of the texture, like color, shininess, bumps, and depth, looked good. If anything looked too shiny, rough, or bumpy, they fixed it by hand.
The modder also added Emissive Maps by hand to things like windows, monitors, neon signs, and signal lights. Thanks to this, Path Tracing should already look really good, even in this early version of the mod.
All in all, this is a cool Path Tracing Mod that a lot of Manhunt fans will find interesting. You can go ahead and download it from this link. At the end of the article, you can also find a video for it. So, be sure to watch it.

manhunt 1&2 are both incredibly boring
Same can be said for Bully, Rockstar games being overrated as usual, nothing new
I liked bully back then too but I think for most people it's either nostalgia or they're just pretending that it's good.
It's hot garbage like all games made by rockstar.
I'll pirate gta v when it comes out though.
first game was good, it had atmosphere, second game is meh.
Atmosphere was good but the gameplay was sh*t which makes it a sh*t game.
I LOVE THIS GAME!
So many memories, so much nostalgia!
looks like its running on gta iv. Impressive.
Regardless of whether you love or hate this game, let's take the time to praise this modding team for the time and effort put in and the incredible work that they have done! And for also releasing this mod completely free of charge (not locked behind a patreon wall or asking for cash). This is what the PC modding community is all about, kudos to gabdeg!
