Resident Evil: Revelations just got a must-have HD Texture Pack

Modder ‘Evgeshajk’ has released a must-have HD Texture Pack for the PC version of Resident Evil: Revelations. This pack will upgrade all of the game’s low-res textures. As such, it’s a must for everyone who wants to replay this RE game.

Resident Evil: Revelations first came out only on the Nintendo 3DS. Later, in 2013, Capcom brought the game to consoles and PC. The PC version did have slightly better graphics than the 3DS, but not by much. And now, in 2025, the game looks blurry and outdated.

And that’s where this HD Texture Pack comes in. Thanks to it, PC gamers can enjoy a much better-looking game. That’s a good thing as Resident Evil: Revelations was actually a pretty good RE game.

The modder used AI tools to improve the game’s original textures. Thanks to this, the new textures still look like the old ones but are much clearer and sharper. This HD Texture Pack is really impressive, so make sure to use it out.

You can go ahead and download it from this link. At the end of the article, you can also find some comparison screenshots. The vanilla textures are on the left, whereas the modded textures are on the right. These comparisons will give you a pretty good idea of what you can expect from this HD Texture Pack. So, be sure to view them (preferably in new windows).

If you like AI-enhanced HD Texture Packs, there are a lot of great ones you should check out. In October 2023, both  STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl and Half-Life 2 got amazing texture upgrades using AI. Then, in May 2024, fans released cool HD texture packs for Grim Fandango Remastered and BioShock Remastered.

There are also awesome AI-upgraded textures for Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 3. These mods will make these two classic MGS games look much better.

You can also find AI-enhanced texture packs for many more games, like Far Cry 3The Elder Scrolls IV: OblivionFinal Fantasy 7 Remake, Blood 2Dark Souls 2FEAR, and Batman: Arkham Asylum have also received their own. And then we have those for Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30, Resident Evil 7, and Tomb Raider: Legend.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

  1. This is one of those 'barebones pc port' iirc, even the resolution is (at least was the last time I played) locked to 1440p max, and you need a mod to unlock resolutions above that

  2. Majority of textures are good, but it could use some manual handywork to fix those numbers, jill's clothing and wall patterns. Just throwing textures into upscaler doesn't necessarily bring 100% accurate results. You gotta put those muscles to work too.

  3. The visual difference is indeed noticeable, vs the original textures, but could have been more sharper in some areas.

    Nonetheless, looks good.

I wish we had some proper HD texture/upscale pack for the following old-school FPS titles as well (not any RTX remix mod, and/or ReShade).

    CHASER (2003).
    SiN Episodes: Emergence.
    Soldier of Fortune 2.
    Tribes Vengeance.
    Unreal 2.
    AREA 51.
    Project: SNOWBLIND.
Singularity. (and a few more names I can't seem to recall right now).

    ….

Sadly, they don't make games like these anymore.
    .

    1. Man all of those games, such a blast from the past!
I have most of them and many many more "ready to play" on one of my external drives. I would from all those SoF2 has a bunch of mods to improve it's visuals n such…
Indeed, they don't make games like they used to in 90's and early 2000s!

  4. The game was made with 3DS in mind, the base textures are not HQ enough, so the AI creates noise.
A re-work from the groundwork would have to be done 😀

  5. It's nice that a mod exists, but the game is inherently broken on PC.

There's an infamous game breaking bug where a certain elevator around midway through the game will just crash the game with no workaround.

CAPCOM never patched it. Just emulate this game from consoles.
