Now here is a pleasant surprise. Creative Assembly has just announced they’re working on a sequel to one of the best Alien games ever, Alien Isolation. This is something Alien fans have been asking for over the years. And now, after 10 long years, we’re finally getting a new survival horror Alien game. At last.
Here is the official announcement for the sequel to Alien: Isolation.
Since the game is in early development stage, you should not be expecting any news, screenshots or trailers for it. My guess is that we might get something in late 2025 or in 2026. Still, the fact that we’re getting a new Alien: Isolation game is great news.
Alien: Isolation used the Cathode Engine. Thus, I’m curious to see whether CA will still be using it. That engine was only used in Alien: Isolation. So, will CA stick with it or will they ditch it for UE5 like most devs do these days? We can also assume that the game will target both next-gen and current-gen platforms.
Speaking of Alien Isolation, there are some cool mods that you can download for it. For instance, this mod improves the AI of the Xenomorph. Then we have this mod that adds Temporal Anti-Aliasing (TAA). You can also find a VR Mod to download.
You can also use a mod to remove The Alien completely, allowing you to explore The Sevastopol freely. On the other hand, there’s a mod that adds an Ultra Nightmare Difficulty Setting. And lastly, you can download a mod that adds multiple xenomorphs to the game.
Stay tuned for more!

Finally.
Lets hope it will be on par or better than Isolation
Depends if Sweet BabyTrans Inc. will be writing the script.
it should be better the first game was boring and buggy.
Tch tch, You were supposed to move and not keep hiding under a table for days to get bored lol
I can't believe it's been 10 years.
The game is still fresh in my mind.
Also the skid marks. They're still fresh in my pants!
Haha, so true! The game is properly scary in VR.
Need to try it like that as well. I have new brown pants to spare!
Awesome.
Finally, but early development?
Gee, see in you in 6 years then.
YEEEEEEAAAAAAHHHH! https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/c53b03a5ae5bdf1af88c511a5e89cc16ebc9d9b66bdf7a95fa3854a55c9c0c58.gif

Her shoulders should vaporize.
Holy I didn't notice that. But isn't it's Alien's blood and not saliva that melts everything ?
Yeah, guess you're right.
YEEHAAA!!! Finally! I have been long waiting for this! Finished the game at least 15 times on VR. This made my day!
I definitely have to make this a stretch play for this month.
Such a great game! I've been streaming it in VR this month and people are blown away by how this 10 year old game looks better than one from 2014. Hire talented people based on merit, not skin color or pronouns, and this is the result! This is excellent news!
game was boring and very repettive and buggy.
The environments are insanely well crafted and especially beautiful in VR. I find the gameplay really tense and while I know it's much longer than it needed to be, I still really enjoy it. I haven't run into a single bug in around 9 of gameplay
I hope that this new one will be as twice much longer this time or three times!
I suspect this is more an investor call then any landmark in its dev,, CA is next to close down do to POOR decisions( Hyena$ vs Aliens, they chose Hyena$), Dlc spaming, turning fans with copy pasted releases. everytime this team tries something new, its great, I enjoyed Viking: Battle for Asgard and Alien:Iso.
creative assembly took to heart the criticism "all your games are the same" so they tried to make many different games, all of them failed.
Once again gamers letting us down, of course a new idea/concept wont be as polished as Cod42 or gears 7, Thus it SuKz!!1
Their DLCs make ton of money, stop smoking crack you dumb fck.
A franchise that is stuck in the 80s. When they are gonna have straight male representation in the name of progressivism? Every other major franchises have done it already.
lol
You play as a male in Colonial Marines.
weird, i guess they saw the success of space marine 2 despite the first game failed and decided to give it another shot. Anyway, overrated game, top notch graphics but the game is boring, all you do is crouch in darkness apart from that chapter with the synthetics. Also very buggy.
The weird case when the last game, is miles better than the last (couple) movie
Are you talking about descent?
Nope, that's an alienS game, i'm talking about Isolation versus Romulus
Then there’s only one alien game
No? there's many, from the NES to the Playstation 1.
To be fair, we are talking about a franchise where the last good movie was made decades ago.
I wanted to say I liked prometheus then I remembered that movie came out a decade ago.
As for Alien(s) games, I think avp1&2, avp2010, dark descent and Isolation were the only decent games.
I haven't played anything older than avp1 though.
Is it Christmas already? This is something that I wanted/need it for years!
It was probably the success from Alien Romulus that accelerated this. Imagine those Alien hallways in Ray Tracing (I'm talking about true Ray Tracing) with a high resolution interactive smoke or fog…oh man…the potential..
Try and keep yourself alive for the next 5 years, then.
I still haven't finished the first one. 15 minutes in and I always stop playing. Just could never get into this this game.
You are probably not a fan of the original Alien movie. That's ok. Or..maybe you are not into survival horror genre. But if you are a fan.. Alien Isolation is a must play without question.
I’m not a fan of either. But I’m not strict either, I’m very open. For example, I love Frostpunk 1 but I don’t like city builders. Don’t like Frostpunk 2 think it’s trash. It just depends on the game itself. Who knows, might give it another try and just buckle down on it.
I love Alien and horror games, but i couldn't get into this one at all, I had 2 massive problems with it: to me, every situation felt either like the outcome of each encounter was too random, or it was too scripted when it would conveniently Not appear for other gameplay or fights to take place. Felt very… idk, just nah, didn't work.
I love Alien and horror games, but i couldn't get into it at all, I had 2 massive problems with it: to me, every situation felt like the outcome of each encounter was too random, i didn't know what i did for it to find and kill me vs going away, or it was too obviously scripted when it would conveniently Not show up at all to leave room for some other gameplay or fights to take place. Felt very… just nah, it didn't work.
The problem for me is the "survival horror" genre. They are too scripted and this one monster/dude chasing you around the whole gaming leaving you running scared is against my personality. Let's just say if I ever get stuck in that situation in real life, I'd BURN THE WHOLE FUQIN PLACE DOWN, from the beginning. I'm not running away from sh*t. Everyone is going down in a fiery glory. Last thing I want if for someone to find a black box taping of me screaming like a lil b*tch. Therefore, the first thing I find is fire. So I can burn the place down. 🔥🐦🔥
Oh, I thought that you meant that it was too scary (that's me lol), but you mean that the gameplay was simply not engaging?
I can understand, it does feel too scripted, making it play almost like a linear experience in a semi-open-world design.
Haha, scary? Me find a video game or movie scary? I’m a 41 year old man. The only thing that scares me are bills/debt. 😂 Seriously though, I kid. Yes I meant engagement. Game is not very engaging to me. To walk around for the first hour trying to find out what to do and reading computers. I’m just a very action oriented gamer. If I don’t have something happening, I’ll fall sleep.
I’m not old, but I’m not 21 anymore where everything catches my attention. I understand that it’s a movie adaptation, but games shouldn’t be trying to be like movies. Unfortunately, every game out their is trying to be a movie. Not saying it’s not a good game, just not for me.
Yep 10 years have we dreamed of this –damn good News – Will FINALY be a new one!
Now if we can get an official F.E.A.R. sequel from Monolith as well
Alma dies in both endings..I think? A sequel without her..I don't know. Maybe a F.E.A.R. 1 prequel would work better.
FEAR was goat game. There's nothing like it. I'm glad that it completed it's trilogy. I still play it sometimes. I hope we will see another entry in it in not too distant future
I kinda want to replay them again also!
As for a new game..what do you want to see story wise? I can't see the story moving forward without Alma. And after F.E.A.R. 3 she's kinda dead..
They can bring her back by implying she's born through that r4pe kid or whatever at the end of fear3.
This wouldn't be the dumbest thing about fear3
Well, I think Alma arc is complete with a satisfactory ending. Don't want to overthink on it. I genuinely want a fresh experience. With a new threat that's real entity & involves thrilling shooting and chase sequences. If you've watched Malignant there is a chase sequence in it that's what I'm talking about
I did not watch Malignant. I might give it chance! Yes I agree! New threat and the F.E.A.R. team must once again contain it. A new Condemned game is also something that I want from Monolith. Old devs are probably not at Monolith anymore but the new devs can definitely take what worked from the old games and add new things. A.I. and physics was incredible in both games. Especially in F.E.A.R. I actually think that one npc soldier from F.E.A.R. is more intelligent then all the A.I. from Star Wars Outlaws and probably better then all the A.I. from all Ubisoft games after the last Splinter Cell. I'm not trying to be funny. It's actually sad. Anyway back to Alien Isolation 2. Want I want is better dialogue/an original story, Ridley Scott supervision and a co-op mode.
Or a reboot or alternate parallel story? … can do a variety of backdrop if given a proper thought in order to aid a tight immersive pew pew slo mo gameplay
That was lightning in a bottle
Is bioware the same bioware that made BG1&2? It's the same case for Monolith
Monolith is still in a better position than Rocksteady or Bioware, I think?
I doubt it, they’re part of WB, their last game was a big red flag imo.
A fate similar to Rocksteady is waiting for them and it will be pretty clear when their next game comes out
WonderWomen is slated to be strictly single-player and utilizing the trademarked nemesis system ~ nothing wow but still better position than WBM & RockS
That means absolutely nothing, people were happy to hear rocksteady was developing a suicide squad game too
Then it was not known it would be GaaS and even later the gameplay was revealed to be a shooter where people were expecting unique abilities.
That’s my point, we don’t know how monoliths next game will turn out to be but we can certainly look at WB’s track record and it doesn’t look good.

Prepare yourselfs for purple aliens and a nibba Ripley.
Lets hope its not a sequel.
Creative Assembly have made nine Total War games and Halo Wars 2 since Alien Isolation. I've not played any of those so does anybody here know if they were infested with any woke nonsense?
Short answer: Yes
Long answer: Which western devs haven't? They patched old Total War games to include women soldiers, they made that crappy game Hyenas that was so bad it got canned when it went gold, these are the more egregious examples.
Cheers for the reply. So it seems we have just cause to be somewhat cautious when it comes to what to expect then. Here's hoping it turns out okay.
True, if you care about not supporting woke, then piracy seems to be the only choice, but standards of tolerance vary, for example Space Marine 2 seems regarded as "non woke" which i find hilariously wrong, high pitched female marines and a granny drill sergeant in the game beg to differ.
They should make the game in the same engine, it looks great and runs smooth, but stupid graphics cucks want to spend $$ on new GPU's.
"You can also use a mod to remove The Alien completely, allowing you to explore The Sevastopol freely."
Actually a great idea for a mod, turning the game in a standard FPS would be nice.
