SAND LAND just got an official “Darude – Sandstorm” trailer

Call me surprised. Bandai Namco has released a new trailer for its upcoming action RPG, SAND LAND, featuring Darude’s iconic dance/trance track, Sandstorm. And, since this Sandstorm we’re talking about, I had to share it with you.

Sandstorm, alongside dance tracks like Resurrection, Toca’s Miracle, Blue, Song 2, Kernkraft 400 and Played A Live defined the 00s for me. Oh, and let’s not forget Scooter. Back then, the dance scene was at its peak and the aforementioned tracks are as iconic as they can get. Hell, some other artists have remixed and remade some of them for younger audiences.

In SAND LAND, players will dive into a desert world where both humans and demons suffer from an extreme water shortage. Players will be able to play as the Fiend Prince, Beelzebub, Sheriff Rao and demon Thief.

Players will be able to use their tact and imagination to develop tanks and other vehicles for their adventures utilizing a wide array of part combinations. Additionally, they’ll be able to build up their base of operations into a thriving city with the help of the people they meet along the way.

In March 2024, Bandai Namco released a PC demo for it. And, to be honest, I was a bit disappointed by it. While the game has a great art style, it suffered from MAJOR stuttering issues. So, let’s hope that the devs will address them.

Bandai Namco will release SAND LAND on April 26th. You can also find here its official PC system requirements.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

  1. I hope some people really enjoy this. The demo wasnt for me but I’d really like for other people to have some fun.

  2. the director of the trailer who choose this track as background – is my hero. The end 90’s ~ 2000’s were one of the best years people lived in.. Cellphone ? Nah we already have a phone at house.. the music.. good lord listening to the Bubblegum music and EDM tracks from back then now even confirms how bad or good music was back then..
    And games didnt needed patches games were done and finished..
    here is one for that generation ;
