Star Citizen 3.23 Character Creator-fixed

Take a Look at Star Citizen’s New Character Creator Tool

YouTube’s ‘CarbonPixel’ has shared a video that gives us a first look at the Bioticorp Character Creator for Star Citizen. This new character creator tool will be added in alpha 3.23, and it will let you create your own custom character.

Alongside the new character editor, version 3.23 will pack some new features. For instance, it will make Ship Combat AI much more formidable. As the devs have stated, with this update, AI ship pilots have been toughened with new behaviors, based from real PU combat via collecting data from experienced dogfighters, to give them more move sets allowing them to do strafe runs, new orbits, more intelligent maneuvers and distancing, and much more, blurring the line between Player and AI flight.

Star Citizen 3.23 will also pack CPU/GPU runtime performance optimizations. So, in theory, it should run better on various PC systems. Here is hoping that someone will benchmark the previous and the latest versions of it.

Finally, PC gamers can expect other major updates, including a Starmap and mobiGlass rework, First-Person Combat Rework, Personal and Instanced Hangars, Freight Elevators, and Master Modes.

For those wondering, no. There is still no ETA on when the final version will come out. We also don’t have a release date for Squadron 42. Still, Cloud Imperium is making some progress so that’s better than nothing, right?

Anyway, enjoy the following video, and stay tuned for more!

No. It’s just more of the same for 12 years now. Add a new feature to delay finishing the game again and again. It’s called Feature Creep which Roberts has denied is going on but he’s in denial and he’s stuck in that state of mind because there is no authority above him to force him to finish the games like happened with Wing Commander.

    1. You’re not wrong, however, I do occasionally see newcomers and long-time backers alike who are fully captivated with it. I’ve seen some gamers who came from Starfield and claiming that this is a better game overall. There’s really no use in complaining over a one of a kind project if people are willing to continuously back it, knowing how long its been in development and how buggy it is.

If anyone is going into this game fully unaware of these things that’s on them. Additionally, if a backer is completely fed up with with how long this game is taking to make then they’re free to demand a refund from CIG. Plenty of folks have already done it and there’s a community on Reddit dedicated to that. Otherwise just shrug it off whenever an update gets covered by any news outlet and move on to whatever space sim that appeals to you more. I don’t think Star Citizen’s existence or the way they’re handling it is hurting the industry in any way shape or form.

      1. If it really does release then and it’s indeed the game that they have promised and it’s not a mess needing months and months of patching and polishing then it will be the first single player game that I have paid full price for in 25 years. That’s how much that I have wanted this game over the years.

But that’s a whole lot of ifs.

        1. Indeed. I’m not holding my breath. However, if they manage to pull this game off and (the latest server meshing beta is monumental achievement in multiplayer/network game programming ) it will be one of the most technically impressive feats in videogame history.

I think it will fundamentally expand how big multiplayer games will be going forward.

          1. That’s assuming other studios have the same technical talent as these guys or Valve, though.

Because AFAICT, people who are really proficient in network programming tend to rather work for hyperscale cloud providers than the videogame industry hellhole…

          2. Very true. But, once they get it done, people know it’s possible. If human history has shown anything, once someone does the impossible, everyone else seems to suddenly be able to do it.

    1. i am so tired of body type, hey what are you body type 1 or body type 2? Also why body type 2 has a bra? Just a body type bro. I hate it. They dont even need to say “body type” but they do it anyway.

  2. Your blog is a testament to your dedication to your craft. Your commitment to excellence is evident in every aspect of your writing. Thank you for being such a positive influence in the online community.

    1. Starfield was absolutely trash for a company making billions of $… per year. At least CIG started from scratch with 12 employees then grow slowly based on pledges support. More than 1.7 million individuals backers back in 2022.
Not only CIG have the solo part SQ42 in polish phase, but they do create an MMO with no equivalence. All for 42$ max as everything can be achieved with in game Credits.

  3. Holly mother of jaws. These devs are really obsessed with the tr*ny look.

18 minutes spent on the video just to fix the default ‘female’ chanter.
