Nightdive Studios has announced a remaster for the 1995 first-person shooter, PO’ed. PO’ed: Definitive Edition will feature updated visuals, antialiasing, increased framerate and redefined controls.
PO’ed features gameplay elements inspired by generational powerhouses DOOM and QUAKE. The game has 25 3D environments with 16 enemy types to fight. Players will select from a vast arsenal of weapons, including the Power Drill and the Meat Seeker.
To be honest, I didn’t play PO’ed when it came out. Back then, I was mostly a console gamer and my first PC game was Kick Off 97 and then Quake. After experiencing them, I tried the other classics like Doom, Hexen and Duke Nukem 3D. And, once I was hooked, I started playing almost all other PC FPS titles like ROTT, Redneck Rampage, Blood, Dark Forces, Shadow Warrior, etc.
Anyway, there is currently no ETA on when this remaster will come out. And, to be honest, I don’t expect a lot of you to be interested in this. I could be wrong though.

a much needed remaster as the psx version is horrible, there is a doom mod that adds weapons and i think enemies from this game. Also eradicator could use a remaster and hopefully at some point they manage to do for soul reaver what they did for shadowman.

I don’t remember this game. I did some checking around and there were complaints about the controls and a lot of bugs and the game being boring. I will wait to see what this remaster may bring before deciding whether it’s worth $5 for a playthrough. It’s coming to Steam and GOG.

Not possible unfortunately. There is some question as to who owns the rights to the game or if it’s multiple entities and they won’t agree on anything. GOG has been trying to get NOLF and NOLF2 on their store for years but can’t get the mess sorted out.
It’s a shame because they are both classics. A remaster of both would be great.

One game i would be interested in a remaster/remake would be Sentient, by Psygnosis. I only played the intro sequence but the premise is quite unique.
Never heard of that game, I just looked it up and it looked so ugly that it’s better off left in the realm of 1990s obscurity. You know what’s a better game by Psygnosis that is more deserving of a remaster? Codename/Lifeforce Tenka that had a horrible PC port back then that you better of just emulating the PS1 version, it has compatibility issues, misses surround sound, physics tied to the FPS and speeds up unless you manually cap it at 30 FPS and probably other issues.
