Princess Peach Showtime! feature

Princess Peach: Showtime! is already playable on PC via Nintendo Switch emulator Ryujinx with over 60fps

Nintendo has just released Princess Peach: Showtime! on Nintendo Switch and, to the surprise of no one, the game is already playable on PC via emulators. To be more precise, the Nintendo Switch emulator Ryujinx can run the game with over 60fps.

Princess Peach: Showtime! is a new action-adventure game where you get to play as Princess Peach herself. In this game, Peach gets to do all sorts of fun stuff with the help of her magical ribbon friend, named Stella. They can interact with objects and talk to other characters together. Plus, when Peach stands on a special platform, she gets super cool abilities that match the setting she’s in.

Princess Peach: Showtime! is powered by Unreal Engine 4 and from what we see, it does not push the Nintendo Switch hardware to the limits. However, this game comes with an amazing art style. This is to be expected as most “Mario” games follow the same tech formula.

As showcased in the following video, an Intel Core i9-14900K with an ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4090 can run the game at around 90fps. GPU utilization is at 39% so no, this game won’t be taxing any high-end or mid-tier GPUs.

It’s not surprising that Ryujinx can run this latest Nintendo Switch game so smoothly. After all, this has happened with many Nintendo Switch games before. Games like Red Dead RedemptionBayonetta 3Monster Hunter RiseXenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, and Pikmin 4 were all playable on PC as soon as they came out. Some games were even playable on Nintendo Switch emulators before they were officially released. Such examples are Pokemon Brilliant DiamondSuper Mario Wonder and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

You can go ahead and download the latest version of Ryujinx from its official website. As for the other Nintendo Switch emulators, Suyu and Nuzu, they may also be able to run it. We haven’t tested them, though, so we don’t know for sure.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

    1. this was relevant in like 2013 maybe, but the Switch soon to surpass PS2’s lifetime sales would only make nintendo shed tears of happiness

      1. Probably. Right now the Switch is at 140 millions units sold and the PS2 was at 155 million units sold. A little over 1 billion games have been sold for the Switch so far. Of interest also, the top 3 out of 4 consoles of all time in units sold are Nintendo consoles.

I don’t particularly like some of Nintendo’s business practices but I deal in reality and not the way I wish things were and the facts prove that Nintendo has a massive fan base and if you look at their yearly Financial Statements they are making huge profits year after year.

  1. Shout out ryujiNX. I havent seen anything bad about the title so ill probably give it a try when the game schedule clears up.

    1. Just so you and anyone else knows. You can delete your comment by clicking on the 3 dots to the right and then delete.

  2. Brazil is crazy place
    the Amazon
    the bodies in the water
Rio’s waters were found to contain viruses up to 1.7 million more times hazardous than a beach in the U.S.
    but thanks for Ryujinx 👍😎😀

      1. I think publicising it points it out more and thus paints a bigger target on the emu back. When I search for nintendont emu this site comes up pretty regularly.

        1. No. Nintendo is already aware of the existence of emulators; it doesn’t require enlightenment from DSOGaming on this matter. By showcasing emulators, they garner increased recognition worldwide, leading to more donations and consequently providing developers with a greater incentive to continue their work on these projects rather than abandoning them.

  3. There are only a small handful of games that are worth emu on this system like totk and for me rdr1 is convenient version, I still haven’t really been back to Wonder or Odyssey just fizzled out for me. 3d World and the galaxy games are much more fun to me. I think I still need to install metroid dread and try that but otherwise just not much there that appeals including this. Wouldn’t it be nice if legacy older games they released for pc sale also? ok the new releases tied to a console or emu but what’s the big deal about stuff they likely don’t even sell in thier store?
