It’s no secret that a lot of PC gamers love Rockstar’s Midnight Club 2. So, if you are one of them, you might get excited about this mod. Hemry81 has just released a beta version of his RTX Remix Mod for it, which adds full ray tracing/path tracing effects to it.
Now as the title suggests, this mod is still in a beta phase. Despite that, the mod comes with some improved textures for the road. So, it’s at least more than a mere mod based on the NVIDIA RTX Remix Runtime.
In short, I suggest keeping your expectations in check. This has a lot of potential, but it still needs a lot of work. So, make sure to watch the video at the end of the article to get an idea of what you can expect from it.
You can download its beta version from this link. To make it work, you’ll also have to manually edit the “options.cfg” file located inside the “game folder/userdata” directory. So, make sure to read its installation guide.
In January, we shared several RTX Remix Mods that are in the works. As such, you can take a look at screenshots and videos for Tomb Raider 2, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Manhunt, Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, and Garfield Kart RTX Remix. Speaking of Path Tracing Mods for older titles, you might also want to check out the following ones. Modders have released early demos for their Path Tracing Mods for Tomb Raider, Max Payne and Call of Duty 4. Do note that the COD4 Mod is a “proof of concept” demo, and it does not look that great. On the other hand, the RTX Remix Mod for Max Payne looks amazing (at least in my opinion). Let’s also not forget the RTX Remix for COD: WoW. And then there is this amazing RTX Remix Mod for Need for Speed: Underground 2. Oh, and don’t forget to give a go at this RTX Remix for Unreal Tournament 2004. Finally, you can download Path Tracing Mods for Doom 2, Quake, Half-Life and Serious Sam.

You do know that they allow the community to vote on the site’s comment moderation policy, right? This lack of moderation tends to be the way the largest percentage of voting readers prefer it to be.

To the right of the user’s name are 3 little dots. Click on that and click Block User but from what you are saying it seems like you would need to block just about everyone. It would make far more sense to just skip the comment sections for you.
These are low effort investment games to do this for with minimal benefits unless you essentially mod the whole game up which at that point may as well just do a newer game. I read they were going to do bioshock 1-2 but nvidia didn’t want to invest the money. The remasters would probably be a better fit unless they’re broken idk never played those versions. I just can’t see it other than wet shiny lots of reflections going on. Maybe just global illumination tricks mods might be easier prob already available.
