Red Dead Redemption 2 Modlist

Red Dead Redemption 2 with 100+ mods & DLSS 3 running in 8K

DigitalDreams has shared a new video, showcasing Red Dead Redemption 2 running in 8K with over 100 mods and NVIDIA DLSS 3 Frame Generation. This is the best way you can experience RDR2 on the PC right now. So, go ahead and take a look at it.

In order to capture this gameplay footage, the YouTuber used an AMD Ryzen 9 7950X with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090. And while there isn’t any framerate counter, it appears that the game was running smoothly. Surprisingly enough, DigitalDreams has included a framerate counter. And, as we can see, the RTX4090 manages to hit over 60fps at all times, even in towns.

Now in case you’re wondering, RDR2 does not have any native support for NVIDIA’s DLSS 3. To make it work, DigitalDreams used PureDark’s DLSS 3 Mod. Sadly, as we’ve already reported, this is a paid mod.

For those wondering, here is the modlist that DigitalDreams used. By using these mods, you can make the game look similar to what has been showcased. Do also note that the YouTuber has used Reshade Ray Tracing, so be sure to also keep that in mind.

Now if you’re not interested in that list, we’ve got some other cool mod suggestions for you. First up is an AI-enhanced HD Texture Pack that makes all the weapons look awesome. Then there’s a 2K Texture Pack that makes all the people in the game look even better. You can also grab a mod that adds a New Game+ Mode, even though it’s not official. Another mod revamps the interior lighting of buildings. And don’t miss out on the Visual Redemption Project. There’s also this mod that aims to overhaul its physics ragdolls and this mod that adds random world events. For some extra fun, there’s a gameplay mod that allows the player to use NPC-exclusive scenarios. Last but not least, there’s a mod that brings support for DLSS Ultra Quality & DLAA to the game, and another mod that allows you to explore Nuevo Paraiso.

  1. Any game that has dlss2 support can then be replaced with dlss3 via the mod that has FG included, so now what they need is to flip the modded dlss3 for FSR3 in some interscript or something then much more people can use FG in an older games like RDR2.
It’ll probably take 20 years for 8k screens to be viable for wide release laptops where it would be most noticed, we barely get 4k support in some now at bloated pricing of the criminal mischpucka mafia.
Kind of pointless tbh, only the new toys like rt/pt could probably make a difference for 3/4 series not being able to run that game at native 4k now. It’s a nice demo of the mods though, puts the dev-hwmaker combine to more shame and that’s hard to do to the clowns.
Reshades are also highly variable as to what they do and the impact. Looks great though.
