The Mexico Team has dropped a super cool mod for Red Dead Redemption 2. This mod takes Nuevo Paraiso from the first game and brings it to life in RDR2. It’s like a remake or remaster, and it’s awesome.
The team added some towns with people walking around, so the place feels more alive. However, this map is a work in progress (WIP). That means there are still some inaccuracies and things to fix. From what we hear, Casa Madrugad is almost ready, so check that out first.
If you are interested you can download this map from this link. Make sure to also read its requirements before downloading it.
Speaking of RDR 2, we’ve got some cool mod suggestions for you. First up is an AI-enhanced HD Texture Pack that makes all the weapons look awesome. Then there’s a 2K Texture Pack that makes all the people in the game look even better. You can also grab a mod that adds a New Game+ Mode, even though it’s not official. Another mod revamps the interior lighting of buildings. And don’t miss out on the Visual Redemption Project. There’s also this mod that aims to overhaul its physics ragdolls and this mod that adds random world events. For some extra fun, there’s a gameplay mod that allows the player to use NPC-exclusive scenarios. Last but not least, there’s a mod that brings support for DLSS Ultra Quality & DLAA to the game.
Have fun, everyone!

How long until take-jew interactive comes after them?
Arabs are living in filthy rubbles with rats right now (as if they didn’t before).
Watching Arabs die cures my erectile dysfunction..
Likely just a map to load in and you can’t set it to just load up with the game it’s always some hotkey or something, there’s tons of maps for this game all over for a while. Game is buggy enough already and I have a good 10-20 simple qol mods and weather mods, rando misson mods amjm, etc I guess if it’s worth it to you for screenshots and such. What we needed was a native PC RDR1 like the largely untouched switch release, so modders could update the textures and a lot more, the ryujinx version is fine but you’re stuck with what justar gives you graphically etc Very odd of justar to do a ton of work with terrain and even visible forts there in RDR2 but never actually come back and use it like cp77 did with the dogtown area in PL. Seems too late now 5 years after release though.
RDR2 still looks and runs 10 times better than all games releasing today
True!
In preperation for my HDR OLED Steam Deck, I tried out RDR2 on my “old” LCD one, since I plan on replaying it there once it arrives.
With a mix of settings ranging from low all the way to ultra, I can get a pretty much locked 45 FPS with the screen set to the same refresh rate, while still looking beautiful, even on the lousy LCD panel.
All of that with the superior Vulkan renderer, which we have Google’s failed Stadia cloud gaming service to thank for, because I’ve heard they paid Rockstar/2K in excess of 100+ million $ to get RDR2 ported to Linux, which required Vulkan support.
Now it will be interesting to see whether the upcoming GTA 6 will keep the better performing Vulkan API renderer around or only ship with a DX12 renderer on PC, which performs noticeably worse on RDR2…
