Dead Space Remake new screenshots-1

Dead Space Remake looks lovely with an isometric camera viewpoint

Flurdeh has shared a new video, showcasing what Dead Space Remake could look like with an isometric/elevated camera viewpoint. Dead Space Remake uses the Frostbite Engine and this video gave me major Alien Swarm and Aliens: Dark Descent vibes.

To be honest, I’d love to see such a mod for Dead Space Remake. In theory, and by using CheatEngine, modders should be able to achieve something like that. I don’t know how playable the game would be with this camera. Nevertheless, this would have been a pretty cool mod.

Speaking of Dead Space Remake, EA Motive released a patch for it a few days ago. However, this latest update does not resolve the game’s traversal stutters.

Finally, Flurdeh has shared isometric videos for Red Dead Redemption 2, Skyrim, Fallout New Vegas, and Cyberpunk 2077. You can also find similar videos for Dark Souls, Grand Theft Auto 5, Elden Ring and Final Fantasy 7 Remake. And, needless to say, we highly recommend watching all of them.

Enjoy!

        1. Put these graphics on the old games and you’d realise why they stopped making such other than RPGs ‘r-tard’.

          1. They make plenty of isometric games other than RPG’s, strategy games and shooters come to mind. Get well soon, rtard.

          2. I just did, in Dead Space, a Third Person Shooter, r-tard (also you are a r-tard by putting quotes on your pitiful attempt at an insult).

          3. First Person Shooter. Dead Space is a First Person Shooter that implemented the player character to host the UI. There is no other reason for it to be a 3rd person shooter as it lacks cover mechanics. I’m sure the devs even spoke about this way back at the original release. Take away the player character and the game plays exactly the same. Good examples of 3rd person would be The Division, Gears of War, ect. where actually seeing your character works with gameplay due to cover mechanics. ‘r-tard’.

          4. 3rd person shooters existed looong before cover mechanics, stop embarassing yourself. Is RE4 an FPS? Lost Planet an FPS? Silphon Filter an FPS? No “cover mechanics” in those games. And speaking of shooters in general, you can have it in all shapes and perspectives, 2d, top down, isometric, if the character shoots a projectile, it’s a shooter. See you next time, r-tard…

  1. Isometric would mean that things that are far away, are the same size as things that are close by. Isometric = no scaling at distance. Aka. no depth.

It’s Tilt shift + Fixed camera, but not isometric

      1. Are you blind? Look at the video again. This is clearly a fixed camera perspective. In isometric games, the camera is in a position above the game world, and it follows the character navigating the bounds of the world. This is, in no shape or form, an isometric mod.

        1. Kind of looks like classic Resident Evil, but the camera shots are set in a way to remind of isometric games, if that makes sense. But i agree that this mod is not an classic isometric perspective.

      2. I have to agree with @disqus_5mpdwpWWlu:disqus , this mod looks more like a classic Resident Evil than a classic Diablo/Fallout, etc.

        1. This isn’t a mod, just a video concept. So it can give you an idea of what the game could look as an isometric game (it has isometric viewpoints). As simple as that.

I also didn’t say “how it plays” but “what it looks like”. If I had said “how it plays”, then the complaints would be valid (as the camera is fixed and does not follow the character). I said what it looks like. The isometric perspective can give you an idea of that. Jesus, imagine if I have to explain simple things like these.

          1. You took issue with @Maik definition of isometric by calling him ignorant, not showing him what he got wrong or how the real definition is.

          2. Never mind if it shows “how it played” or “how it looks”, an isometric camera is an isometric camera. THIS is a fixed camera. They are two completely different things.

Remember your Settlers review where you so highly glorified your 4090 for running so smoothly when it was to be expected cuz its a blooming 4090? Now THAT’S an isometric camera.

  2. Fixed camera angles is the superior choice for horror games. ADHD kids whose first horror game was RE4 might disagree.

  3. naturally like your web site however you need to take a look at the spelling on several of your posts. A number of them are rife with spelling problems and I find it very bothersome to tell the truth on the other hand I will surely come again again.

    1. I think you got your returnal angst confused with your dead space, or perhaps you didn’t drink your morning coffee today.

      1. My theory is that his mother scooped the s*men off of a dirty carpet into her p*ssy and in the process there must have been some sort of microbial or viral contamination. There’s no other explanation for his mental illnesses.

        1. Is this your theory or whatever gay p0rn0gr@phic material you consume in your sad free time? So afraid you won’t even reply directly to me, like those sad freaks who blocks and keep gossip to other users.

  4. You all sure love arguing the semantics of isometric in every tilt shift video. I wonder how many of you actually enjoy this site or it just like a place to complain about the stuff John posts.
