Dead Space Remake new screenshots-2

Dead Space Remake and Redfall are using the Denuvo anti-tamper tech

Dead Space Remake releases tomorrow and although its Steam store page does not list the Denuvo anti-tamper tech, we can confirm that it will be using it. Furthermore, Arkane’s Redfall will be also using it.

Dead Space Remake uses the Frostbite Engine and will support DLSS 2 at launch. You can also find here its official PC requirements. EA Motive has claimed that the game will have Ray Tracing effects. And, according to the game’s PC graphics settings, PC gamers can only expect Ray Tracing Ambient Occlusion.

On the other hand, Redfall is a new open-world, single-player and co-op FPS. The game promises to blend single- and multiplayer options seamlessly. Additionally, it will allow the player to venture into the darkness alone or to squad-up with up to three friends.

Bethesda plans to release Redfall on May 2nd.

Our PC Performance Analysis for Dead Space Remake will be slightly delayed. So while we won’t have a day-1 article, we’ll be definitely sharing our initial PC performance impressions.

Lastly, here is a comparison video between the remake and the original versions of Dead Space.

  1. Denuvo really does save money. Since I don’t have the patience of a toddler, I either await its removal and by then, just snag it up “somewhere”, or, skip the game entirely.

    Thanks, Denuvo.

    1. It seems denovo has some impact on performance but it gets the job done. Not many games with latest denovo are pirated, so probably more and more developers will use it despite performance implications.

      1. thankfully most of that Denuvo game also the one that need fixes and patched to be fully enjoyable on PC nowadays, so no cr*ck are like blessing in disguise for pirates because when its finally cr*cked its usually already in very enjoyable state to play

  2. The Gayming industry is truly evolving…just backwards, pay money to be a beta tester…stutter fest incoming take cover!

    1. I feel bad for the newer generation who are getting these kind of games, but really worrysome is the old school people who in their 30s 40s are supporting this as well.
      Like… This is natural.

      1. too much soy products can and will affect the brain…so nothing strange there…you have full grown man crying from excitement on youtube for a game that’s being released or something similar…like i said,Evolution but backwards is what that is

      2. Those 30’s & 40’s people are basically brain dead. They’d support anything. I’ve met a lot of them in person. They still frought over the next Assassin’s Creed Release. Every year they go crazy over the next COD & Battlefield. I don’t understand how you can do something for 20-30 years and not fed the fuq up at some point. But then again these are the same people that work a dead end job and call it a career since they left school because you know, “that’s what they went to school for”. Successful slaves are real and plentiful. So I shouldn’t be surprised.

        1. Yep. I never got excited again about those things on my near 40 age. My time are precious now, so i stop getting excited and playing game that requires my time like its my job. Make a game that could be experienced once and left me satisfied rather than game as a service garbage that needs to be updated when i just want to play it for an hour or two on my limited time.

        2. For real man. There’s so so much more to learn there besides school and job. It pays you money easily right but makes you a dumb puppet of the corpo. It’s another thing if you can find a job you like and it’s actually pretty hard. And in today’s world holding on to old values and cultures without getting spoiled is an achievement on its own.

  3. Both games are gonna suck, especeially Redfall. From what I heard, Redfall is actually in a rough state so don’t expect anything from it.

    1. RedFail s garbage.
Dead Space Remake on the other hand… Well +90 on MC.
      Sounds, looks and plays amazing.
Without Nvidia GRD, +100fps all the time in 4K Ultra settings with DLSS Quality, on 4080 + 10gen i7

        1. There’s nothing wrong with liking a franchise enough to want to see it done up again in new tech. I could probably think up a few older titles that would be nice to see with new upgrades to visuals and tweaks to the game. Why “gamers” these days have to be so damn bitter about everything and everyone I have no idea. DSO is particularly cesspoolish in this regard. Literally every article is people whining about this, b*ching about that in the comments.

          1. The only complain is that this game never needed a remake, to begin with. This is clearly a cash grab, but hey, if they can why not do it while morons finance it?

          2. The original dead space was released in 2008 and not to mention it was build around 2005 hardware limitations (xbox 360). Dude cant you see flat lighting, blurry textures, and pixelated shadows?

With today’s technology, the graphics in this remake are on a completely different level, and so is the immersion. The new audio technology should also make a big difference because it’s a horror game. Based on the reviews, it looks like it’s a good remake. Even “gmanlives” loves it and thats not very common these days, because he usually hate everything.

The original game is still fun, but looks dated, so remaking it made sense.

          3. Couldn’t have said it better myself. I’ll even admit to being one that viewed the old game through rose tinted glasses; wondering if the game really “needed” a remake but once I saw some of the later released comparison videos with a more finalized version of the game I realized just how much time has improved graphics and presentation. The old game really does look dated today

          4. LOL
A simple mod would do the work, no one needs a remake that doesn’t even run properly.
But if you just read my last paragraph again all will make sense.

          5. So here’s the deal. And it’s something I realized after the PS4 launched that people still seem to not understand. This sh*t is COMPLICATED. Game development, particularly as we advance further in hardware capabilities, is HARD. When the PS4 launched people b*tched and complained about Naughty Dog doing a TLOU update. Not too long after the PS4 TLOU remaster released, we saw cutting edge visuals from Uncharted 4. What SOME developers are doing now is utilizing remakes to “fund” their R&D. Generally when a new hardware gen comes around, devs have to spend serious time and money conducting R&D on the new platforms. And, back in the day, that didn’t take as much time and money. These days it’s crazy. So devs get quality experience and knowledge These days with these remakes. They get to learn what it takes to deliver a shipping product on new hardware and they get to make some money in the process instead of simply sinking a ton of money into R&D projects that never see the light of day or ever see any sort of return on that money spent. For us, the gamer, that means we get an update to a loved game that you can buy or not. And it will eventually lead to a fully new project. But nobody is forcing you to buy the game

          6. Hence why many awesome game from yesteryear remembered due to their gameplay not their graphics because graphics is the one that will obsolete first in a game

          7. Don’t know what sorta mods y’all eff with, but this game is well beyond any mod short of Black Mesa. Which took years and years to complete. The way the denizens of the gaming internet short change what game development actually is continues to astound me. It SHOULDN’T, considering how many years I spent in customer service interacting with the general public, but here I am. Still shocked at the simplicity of the general human mind

        1. Nobody pays for reviews, this is early 2000s conspiracy theorizing. Huge companies do get favorable reviews because basically all gaming media is access journalism, so every review company and every individual reviewer is too much of a p$ssy to sh*t on a major title out of fear of losing early access to the upcoming ones.

          1. “Nobody pays for reviews”

            BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

This lad surely is one of those who thinks that even though all governments did some terrible things in past, they’re all just bathing in a hot pool and being saints today.
Too much conspiracy will drive anyone crazy, but if you don’t believe any conspiracy, then you’re already dumb!

  4. Denuvo is Literally a XBB1.5 Covid variant at now. Infecting a lot of Triple AAA titles.

Also, Not disclosing It use this Draconian Cancer in steam store page is like operating a dangerous machine without the safely warnings labels, Disgusting.

  5. Denuvo will be available only on Steam version. Game Pass version of every game is always without Denuvo because MS Store used by Game Pass don’t support Denuvo or any other third party security. MS in own store always use own security

    1. At least be honest enough to mention that Microsoft’s UWP DRM is way more draconian & restrictive than even Denuvo…

    1. Thought we were making strides but all of a sudden every company is using this rubbish. Every major release is stuffed with this stage 4 cancer. Right back where we started. All this talk of piracy and no one ever looked at PS4 piracy. Every game on PS4 was/heavily seeded on torrent sites. More than PC games but yet we’re the ones that have to put up with the rubbish. Reminds me of the argument of banning ARs when all the shootings/gun violent crimes are done with handguns. Haha ??? what is wrong with the humans..

  6. This isn’t going to sell just like Calypso Protocol. Niche audience and the gameplay was outdated by the behemoth that came out the year before (Mass Effect 1). The original Dead Space didn’t even sell and it sold a whole million copies. I can only imagine that executives listened to the mentally ill, small minority of people over at ResetEra when they decided to greenlight these projects.

EA needs to drop the Star Wars license that is worth jack now, get people that are actually creative again and care more about narrative than pushing THE MESSAGE and stop making dumb remakes. Want to know what the future holds for endless remakes made for “modern audiences”? Ask Hollywood EA. They lost 500 billion dollars last year.

If EA had half a brain they would give Mass Effect to Respawn, take the money they were spending on the Star Wars license and give it to Respawn for game development and put a bullet in Bioware.

    1. Bioware should absolutely be closed down. That being said, do you really expect a studio who specialise in MP shooters to make a compelling RPG?

The Titanfall 2 campaign was good stuff, but they had experience making linear scripted action shooter campaigns from working on Call of Duty.

      1. Didn’t respawn also make Jedi game nowadays? EA actually have a lot of geat devs and games recently (GRID Legends and NFS Unbounds for example) but they surely care more about FIFA

        1. You’re right, I completely forgot about those Jedi games. Still I’d argue that’s along the lines of a CoD campaign like Titanfall 2 was, i.e. a linear, scripted cinematic experience. Still a far cry from RPGs.

  7. Waiting for the dead space remake performance analysis from you guys 😀
Apparently it runs worse than Forspoken, an open world game.. but looks better i guess.

  8. Bro every game uses it, it’s much more of a news story when a game launches without it, which is at this point only CDPR and Sony. Coincidentally, they have some of the best games on the market so the rest can continue sucking off Denuvo

    1. For sure, half (or more) of the games that released with denuvo were mediocre and certaintly none of them got exceptional sales numbers except for already established franchises.

      1. The hightest selling games of all time don’t even have Denuvo and one of them have no DRM at all. Funny how that works

      1. You can subscribe to EA pro and play the game for free. The 1 month subscription costs $15. You can easily finish the game in one mouth

        1. ohh ,okay thats what you mean, not quite understand at first. What about GAMEPASS (its a dollar for 1st month here), I read it come with EA Play (but dont know if its Pro version or not).

          1. It in not available on GamePass. I think only EA Pro includes “day one” games and EA Pro is not part of GamePass

  9. Least with this game having Denuvo, the crap sales the game gets, they wont be able to blame pirates for low sales like devs always done before Denuvo was a thing

  10. I’m often to blogging and i really appreciate your content. The article has actually peaks my interest. I’m going to bookmark your web site and maintain checking for brand spanking new information.

  11. I wont buy a game with
Denuvo but then again i would not pay the price there asking for a remake no matter the price if i did not have the original maybe i would.

  12. I wont buy a game with
Denuvo but then again i would not pay the price there asking for a remake no matter the price if i did not have the original maybe i would.

  13. Perfect recipe for Modern American gaming industry :
    Shiny graphics
    + Robotic gameplay
    + Countless gender culture
    + Compulsory tokens inclusion
    + Unattractive feminines
    + Raytracing
    + Stuttering
    + Denuvo
    + Paid reviews

    10/10 must play game!!

    1. People in America like to complain about GLOBALISM & WOKE. When we are the biggest globalist there is. And all things comprised of sin comes from the United States. The only thing worse than the United States is Canada. Canada is what happens when delusional behavior meets appeasement.

    2. Ray Tracing is just crap right now, RTX GPU’s are still far too slow to even consider turning it on. You can have 150 fps in a game and then you turn on Ray Tracing and wow this 25 fps looks great. I have a 3070 and I skip Ray tracing in any game that supports it because the hardware is just too slow to run it yet. I also refuse to game at 1080P it’s either 4k or I don’t wanna play lol

      1. I respect your preference. I also think I might be one of the few (or only one) here who can still enjoy games in 720p. For graphics I think they should be convincing enough. That’s all that matters. For instance I find a ps2 game look more realistic and rough than the shiny plasticky graphics of some of the modern games. It sure looks vibrant and detailed but takes away the flavour your brain gives by imagination.

      2. Why can’t people just happily admit this instead of all the hype, delusions & denial. Why is it so hard for others to say why you say. Confirmed biases are annoying. If people knew NVIDIA’S past they’d just stop with acting as if ray tracing is their only choice for a last meal.

  14. In my case, I live in Argentina. Wanting to buy this game due to inflation is prohibitive. I’ll have to wait a couple of years until it’s less than half

    1. By then it might run well if they keep at it, nearly no aaa game today is worth getting at release since its basically paying for being their beta tester anyway!

    2. Yep, they didnt apply regional pricing in country, which is the same kind of country as argentina (exxcept we never win world cup) so need to wait it on sales because for now its priced a quarter of our average monthly salary

  15. Gotta love companies that claim to think about the environment, then end up wasting power through something that isn’t needed.

And what do we get? Less performance, higher power bill and also price increases due to licensing fees for that bloatware.

  16. Many gamers see Denuvo and boycott said game. I’m sorry to say most games now days use Denuvo and if we boycott every game due to this protection we will all miss out on great stories. Yes Denuvo kills performance this has been proven, every time Denuvo’s server makes a call the CPU usage sky rockets in whatever game your playing and fps plummets.

I hate Denuvo but If I boycott every game that has it i’ll never have a game to play. Also as it stands there is not one cracker cracking denuvo anymore, even Princess or whatever her name is stopped cracking it since last year as no game has been cracked since last year last January in fact. Denuvo sucks but we can’t do a thing about it it’s a multi million dollar operation run by previous crackers. One thing I’ll never understand is why DSOgaming always puts up posts saying this game or that is using denuvo when 99 percent of games released in the last 8 years has used this tech it’s no secret every game will use it, it sucks but nothing can be done about it accept not buy the games but that does nothing.

    1. It’s interesting the things you have written. Are you saying that Denuvo “hired” or “paid off” the people who kept breaking their Denuvo protections? I never heard that story.
I last heard that the first versions were almost impossible to break but once the first bridge fell every subsequent version was easier and easier to crack.
Also, these people aren’t saying they will “never” buy the games. They’re saying basically “they have more patience than a 3 year old child” and can wait a year or even two until the protection is removed which almost always happens to appease those who had the patience to wait.

And suggesting that if you didn’t buy the latest releases you would have nothing to play? Come on, BRUH!!! That’s laughable.

There’s certain electronic stores and gaming websites that give out free games very frequently, one of them known to give out 2 free games a week. So, let’s stop blowing smoke up peoples @$$ and be real here!

  17. In the beginning Denuvo was the bomb, IIRC. It couldn’t be broken for months at a time. Now they crack it in days. I wonder how long this crack will take? I’ll be watching this cat and mouse game. The cat keeps getting faster and fatter! 🙂

  18. a lot of Denuvo game hasnt been cracked for months. The only group scene (or individual) that able to cr*ck it is Empress, which will ask for $500 to do, or whenever he/she like to do it. So its pretty much dead now in piracy scene regarding to Denuvo powered game. Thankfully a lot of AAA that use it are not that great of a game in the beginning, many of them need patch to fix their abysmal performance on PC, so waiting until someone paid to cr*ck the game are considered as a blessing in disguise thankfully

    1. Somebody paying “Princess” $500 to crack Denuvo protections? That sounds like chump change. I’ll bet the developers of Denuvo offered her tens of thousands of dollars just to stop cracking their protections! Or hired her for their side. That would be the smartest thing to do if I we’re in Denuvo’s shoes!
