Ubisoft shares the first concept artwork for Splinter Cell Remake

Splinter Cell fans, here is something for you today. Ubisoft has revealed the first official concept artwork for Splinter Cell Remake. While these artworks do not show much in terms of real-time graphics, they can at least give you an idea of the game’s art style.

Splinter Cell Remake will be rebuilt from the ground up using the Snowdrop Engine. The game promises to deliver new-generation visuals and gameplay, as well as dynamic lighting and shadows.

Earlier this year, Ubisoft claimed that this remake will have a story designed for a “modern-day audience.” While I’m a bit skeptical about this, I’ll try to remain optimistic.

Anyway, enjoy the following artwork and stay tuned for more. For what it’s worth, we don’t know when we’ll be getting an in-engine trailer, or when the game will come out. However, we can safely assume that it will be only coming to current-gen platforms.

Enjoy!

Splinter Cell – Celebrating 20 Years of Stealth Action

        1. oh..yeah…..you are right…my bad since its been long time we got last SC and it was in 2013, I forgot that Splinter cell was a stealth gem, in fact an star of this genre. And yes turing this into an rpg junk would be like making an egg a soccor ball and result will be a broken shell with yellow garbage protein.

  1. Can’t deny artworks do look cool and sam looks great. But it’ll be better if they really really do justice with their games this time and not sell it over for promoting some company politics. Because I think we should be getting some more info than concept art at this point. Remember when, we get to play the game first and then watch the concept arts in their books and manuals and then said with appreciation “man, look how cool game we got and it’s artwork is fantastic”. That is how it should be done. I really wish ubisoft takes time away from publicity and focus solely on making great games again.

  2. …the first concept artwork for Splinter Cell Remake… F*** Ubisoft (new) games, and F*** Ubisoft as a whole company, hope they go bankrupt and out of the business in the near future.

    1. I’ve the one from 2006 in my lib but didn’t touch it. Is it any good? How would you compare it with Hitman 2016 or Dishonored or anyother stealth games?

      1. If you mean the third one chaos theory then i would not compare it to dishonor but more like hitman the levels are less linear than the 2 first splinter cell games but dont expect huge open levels like hitman, in term of gameplay it will feel clunky for people that are used to modern day stealth games, the game does not hold your hand and the controls are not automatic and streamlined, you got under your health 2 bars: one for how much noise you make and the other for how visible your are.
On pc i like how you use the mousewheel to control the speed at which Sam moves and you got multiple gadgets.

This game feel more methodical it was a time when Ubisoft Tom Clancy’s games strived for realism while still being fun.

  3. Where is the woke? Oh wait Remake, tis a remake, i hope they dont outsource it to some indian studio for woke points like they did with the prince of persia sands of time remake…”did that come out?” No, thats exactly my point.

Also speakin of splinter cell, how come you cant buy pandora tommorow? A youtuber who reviews chameleon another stealth game that you cant buy claims the reason is that in chamelon in a mission you kill israeili soldiers and in pandora tommorrow you kill a mossad agent. Hmm……who controls the international banking system again?

    1. Pretty sure you can still buy the PS3 “remaster”.

As for the PC version being unavailable: I believe it has to do with the game using some shadow tech that was specific to Geforce 3/4, i.e. isn’t available on several subsequent generations of GPUs.

“Lights and shadows: Why Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow is not for sale on GOG or Steam!

The PC version of Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow is based on the original XBox version. It uses a technology called shadow buffers which only GeForce 3, 4 and FX cards support.

On newer cards the game does not correctly display lights and shadows.”

          1. my point is that if this is the problem then gog can fix it dude. So this is not the reason they dont release it.

          2. Yes you already shared your opinion that Ubisoft don’t want to hurt jewish fee-fees, no need to keep spamming me with pointless replies.

          3. Yes you already shared your opinion that Ubisoft don’t want to hurt jewish fee-fees, no need to keep spamming me with pointless replies.

          4. And yet you didnt get it even everyone else did. Low iq interuptions filling up my mentions.

          5. How do you know everyone else did? I’m the only one replying to your original question. Also it’s called reply, not “interuptions”.

    2. I think it was a Shin Bet agent, i think Shin Bet would be the equivalent of FBI while Mossad is like the CIA. Other than that Shin Bet woman i don’t remember killing IDF soldiers in that game, maybe because i killed her the moment Lambert told me to. I do remember killing iranian soldiers in blacklist however.

        1. That’s incorrect. I just saw a playthrough and it says the mission fails if Sam uses lethal methods against civilians or local police. Sam can kill Syrian mercenaries and Shin bet agents who would betray him. Also there is a funny quote Sam says when Lambert is introducing the israeli agent to him, it was like “oh spooky, who are we gonna torture”.

          1. Sam Fischer from Splinter cell pandora tomorrow. And you have the gall of talking about IQ, haha. I was talking about SC all the time and then you interject with some obscure game no one knows, i tought it was the name of the mission or something. Instead of admiting a misunderstanding you double down on acting like a fool.

          2. Me “A GAME CALLED CHAMELEON THAT WAS NOT RELEASED OUTSIDE A FEW COUNTRIES IN EASTERN EUROPE”

You “Splinter cell sam fisher did not have that scene”

            You are low iq.

“Instead of admiting a misunderstanding you double down on acting like a fool.

Mate get yourself a mirrior you are projecting your own stupidity to me, absolutely useless waste of my f*king time.

  4. Jangling those keys at us, for a bait and switch come 2025’s reveal.

Game’s already doa after some of their leads left the project following that news it was being made for a “modern audience”.

    1. It’s gonna be made with Blacklist gameplay, not that crappy in junky gameplay from original SC1, which is outdated AF.

      1. Blacklist is one of a kind and they def closed the series on a high mark, but unfortunately they will probably butcher the narrative.

    1. Ah there we go. Channel more into that same mentality you had of gamers before it became cool to pretend you’re a gamer too and you joined in the grift.

  5. by judging how they are mishandling Prince Of Persia SOT Remake, ubisoft is not well suited to remake anything
massive open world, endless side quests, grinding, RPG and dialogue options, women and lgbtq woke bs, and bad voice acting, i wonder how much UBI-fications this game will get

    1. The PoP remake was looking pretty faithful. The problem was that they had Indian studios building it and that was reflected in the low quality on display.

The benefit of having Indian studios was a lack of woke revisionism. Now project has been taken over by turbo-woke Canadians, thus we can completely write it off.

  6. “Modern Audiences”. That is it then. Anyway, does anyone know if there are AI upscaled high res texture packs for original trilogy?

  7. Looking forward for this, only if we will have, Closer Than Ever (yeah that’s the official name) gameplay system from SCCT or from Blacklist, because the original SC1 gameplay is to junky.
Ofc those are just concept arts, so the visual idea might be changed in one way or another.
The OG voice actor is also back so it’s all good… for now.

  8. Cool. I spent a long time looking for relevant content and found that your article gave me new ideas, which is very helpful for my research. I think my thesis can be completed more smoothly. Thank you.
