Zelda Ocarina of Time Unreal Engine 5

Zelda Ocarina of Time Remake in Unreal Engine 5 available for download

Last month, we informed you about the latest version of the Zelda Ocarina of Time Fan Remake in Unreal Engine 4. And a few days ago, CryZENx ported the Temple of Time Demo to Unreal Engine 5 with support for both UE5’s Lumen and NVIDIA’s DLSS tech.

According to CryZENx, Unreal Engine 5 has many new features that can boost the development of this fan remake. Lumen also appears to be working great with this project. Additionally, players can take advantage of DLSS and get a 20% performance boost (using it from Quality to Ultra Performance).

Unfortunately, this UE5 demo of Zelda Ocarina of Time is behind a Patreon-wall. As such, only Patreon members can download and experiment with it. After all, this is an early access version. My guess is that a free public version will come out, hopefully, later this year.

It’s pretty remarkable what CryZENx has created so far. Okay okay, this project has been in development for more than six years. Still, it’s one of the best fan remakes I’ve seen. CryZENx has even added co-op support, something that was completely absent from the original game.

    1. Yet another beautiful comment creation with words by a most advanced comment bot, Unreal Engine.

    2. UE is actually the worst of all engines out there. What good has it brought except for the life long inconsistencies with AA solutions, awful AF stutters and dotted texture messes?

  1. “.. this UE5 demo of Zelda Ocarina of Time is behind a Patreon-wall.”

So…. Nintendo shuts down SSB tournaments at the drop of a dime, but somehow, this guy isn’t drowning in legal fees trying to defend himself in court.

Love that consistency, Nintendo. That’s why you the most hat… I mean loved company in gaming.

  2. – Steals copyrighted material.
    – Creates new project
    – Charges cash for him

    What a focking thief.
Where is Nintendo now? They were sending C&D letters, to fans, for creating FREE projects, but somehow they don’t see this one?
    LMAO.

The same goes to thos idiots who a doing mods to games, and are putting them behind paywall.

    1. Unfortunately, that pantsless woman in the castle town will probably nab them a bunch of “sales”.

    2. I would be shocked if they didn’t get slapped with a C&D if they’re charging for it, that’s like the one big no-no about fan stuff. Don’t charge.

    3. You forgot click baiters titling this sh*t like “Zelda Ocarina of Time Remake in Unreal Engine 5 available for download”… one more blocked webzine!

      1. It is available for download provided you pay for it, but maybe some patron will be kind enough to upload it for everyone else.

    4. I would almost consider paying for this if it had competitive multi-player, but still I would illegally download it

    5. Semi justifiable in its current state since it’s so early in development, I’m 99% sure he plans on making it free once it’s done.

He IS doing all the work after all, might as well make some money in exchange for people to try it before it’s finished.

    6. Wait, aren’t you that b*tch that was limiting torrent bandwidth so fitgirl and other repackers couldn’t get game files? Forcing users to download YOUR full size crack at 15kbps?

Just because you want more recognition in the PIRATED GAME SPACE? Don’t call ANYONE a thief. Your a b*tch thief.

  3. Did this dev switch from unreal 4 to unreal 5? If he was working on this game for 6 years, he coudn’t be working on unreal 5 at the time, right?

Also, thanks for another unreal engine post John, this game looks retro-wonderful.

  4. Honestly, no shade, but all of you don’t seem to understand that it’s a WIP all-around that when finished will be publicly released *for free*, and you are getting early access to a custom fan-game that isn’t a rom hack or existing title even if it uses similar assets and names patented and owned by Nintendo. Nintendo hates fan-games these days free or not but those using different engines as opposed to rom hacking are looked down upon less.

This is the result of someone choosing to put their free time into creating a custom fan remake. Scummy as it might look, it isn’t the only project he is working on and the payments are more of a general, subscription to the creator’s full slew of content and information, with the bonus perk of early access to a project that will obviously be free within the significant amount of time it takes to make it because he and everyone knows you can’t sell copyrighted IP legally without permission, but that’s not what he’s selling.

Patreon is and has always been a backdoor to early access of projects, and if the project is going to be free publicly anyways at the end unless Nintendo gives him a license to sell the finished product – literally just wait for it to be done and posted for free, no one’s asking you to pay money for early access to buggy, unfinished work that people joining are basically testing for your convenience on the full release lmao.

Go play OoT on a 64, emulator with an HD texture pack, 3ds/emu or SoH PC fan port if you’re that desperate to play it with a refreshing look and feel. If you really call yourself a deep web diver you can actually find and access some of the archived content with project versions to this for free.

Literally anything but come whining about it here.
