Ubisoft has announced a delay for its upcoming Snowdrop-powered strategy game, The Settlers. According to the publisher, this extra time will allow its development team to further polish it. Unfortunately, though, there isn’t any ETA on when the game will now release.
The Settlers promises to bring back the best, modernized elements from previous The Settlers titles. The game aims to combine these elements with brand new features and gameplay systems.
The Settlers will combine a fresh take on the familiar gameplay mechanics of the series with new features like a new food system and a motivational meta-game to create a unique game experience. Players will be able to play the campaign and optional side missions in solo or co-op modes.
The game will be using the Snowdrop Engine, and will also offer various online multiplayer modes. According to Ubisoft, the game will also have emotional storylines. Players will watch as thousands of settlers live their lives and complete their daily work.

Ubisoft just stop. Literally just take the next 3 years off.
Further polish it… Ubisoft Kiev is at war. So no ukrainian workers for the company actually. They need more developer from other studios to finish the product.
That screenshot in the article should tell you why this thing is DOA and should never be release to begin with.
So, Ubisoft bought the series or Blue Byte Software? Either way, Settlers 4 was the last good game. Dead
“Ubisoft bought the series or Blue Byte Software?”
Both actually, since 2001
I really hope from every inch of my soul that ubis#!t gone bankrupt in the near future, i really hate this company.
Nah, at worst they would devaluate to the point where Microsoft or someone else would buy them.
The only valuable titles still have some value at this time in my opinion is Prince of Persia cause they didn’t manage to find a way to make it woke with online bs and probably Splinter Cell. The rest is something not belong to this era or not suitable for the new gaymers or simply ruined like Assassin’s Creed, Tom Clancy’s and the rest of the catalog.
Someone discover online —> ubisoft jump into online like no one
Someone discover DLC —> ubisoft make DLC’s like no one
Someone discover s#!ty DRM —> ubisoft abuse it like no one
Someone discover micro-transactions —> ubisoft milk gamers like no one
Someone discover open world —> ubisoft find the best away to waste your time like no one
Someone want to spread wokeness —> just look at the sate of ubi new games
In the end ubisoft didn’t gave a flying fok about us gamers.
There’s a great chance that their Prince of Persia: Sands of Time remake won’t be woke because they literally outsourced to India. (There’s also a great chance that it’ll be incompetently made p00p because they outsourced it to India.)
still better than woke s*it
still better than woke sh*t
Not gonna happen. They’re one of those companies that figured out how dumb most gamers are and know well how to use that.
I would have agreed for a few years, but at this moment all their IPs and franchises are seriously drained and have everyone sick to the stomach of their formulaic design and homogeneity all across.
I seriously wonder what will be of Ubisoft in the next 3-5 years, they’ll have to pull some miracle of their hats to not go down.
as long as for honor survives.
Beside the anno dev’s (Blue byte)… i don’t have much hope for any of
their games and even the last couple of anno’s have been blander than
usual – Likely due to the over politically correct sect that’s brewing
in the parent company… ruining all creativity
Polish, or add in the NFTs? I can’t blame Ubisoft though when so many morons are buying their products.
This must be a superhero game. Explains why that woman is lifting the hell out of that log like the men do. That’s the type of immersion breaking crap that they love to peddle today.
you forgot far cry.
More likely delayed until they figure out how to shoehorn in NFTs micro-transactions.
Missed opportunity: “YouBeSoft fails to settle on a date”.
