Elden Ring new screenshots-4

Elden Ring now supports ultra-wide resolutions/monitors via Flawless Ultrawide

A lot of ultra-wide PC gamers were disappointed when FromSoftware revealed that Elden Ring would not natively support it. Thankfully, and in just a matter of hours, PC gamers have figured out a way to enable ultra-wide support to this latest action RPG.

All you need in order to play Elden Ring on ultra-wide monitors is Flawless Ultrawide. You can download this tool from here.

Once you’ve downloaded it, you’ll have to enable the “Eldenring” plugin. Then, you’ll have to create a file named “steam_appid.txt” in the Elden Ring folder. And that’s it. You can then launch the executable file of Elden Ring and enjoy the game in ultra-wide mode.

Do note that Flawless Ultrawide is only meant for offline gaming. Bandai Namco may ban you if you use this tool while playing online. As such, make sure to disable it during your online sessions.

As we’ve already reported, there is also an FPS Unlocker that you can download.

Let’s just hope now that FromSoftware will address the game’s stuttering issues via a post-launch update.

Have fun and stay tuned for more!

  1. Game was made for 16×9
When cutscene/gameplay fades in or outs you can see, that i was all made with 16×9 in mind.
Terrible port, lags on RTX 3090? gtfo from here From Software.

  2. I’m Dark souls vet, and BloodBorne is one of my all time favorites, but I can’t work up any excitement for this game and I cannot put my finger on why?

    1. This game f*king rules. It’s way better than the other souls games. Way less bullsh*t to deal with and way more of the cool sh*t that made it awesome.

  3. I clicked on the Elden Ring streaming category on Twitch.

I saw hundreds of streamers dying to the exact same boss, all frustrated and barely enjoying themselves in a boring deserted world. Many upset and just quitting the game that offers them nothing.

Unlike in MMO where you work together, and people can do all sorts of things, the Elden Ring streams were depressing, a deserted world that looks like a PS3 game where people are frustrated by the game.

A game that seems specifically designed to waste your time in the beginning, to make sure people can’t refund the game when they realise the gameplay blows.

People wasted $60 to have a miserable experience because the mainstream gaming media told them to buy this garbage game.

      1. I played Dark Souls on Playstation and hated it.

There are plenty of games that do the dodge-attack mechanic better, such as Vindictus.

Dark Souls is Vindictus for retards, it’s the solo version of the genre. Dark Souls games do not require you to work in a team. The average Dark Souls player is a 14-year-old kid who can’t properly communicate so they thrive in the solo versions of this genre.

These games are all about making one fail hundreds of times, to make an actual kill rewarding. It’s an addiction pattern.

Dark Souls III or Bloodborne players are not excited because From Software make good games, From Software makes trash, but these clowns are addicted to the dopamine release when they finally defeat a boss.

This is also why a game that look like a PS3 title ends up getting 10/10 everywhere by the mainstream media, the reviewers are just as addicted after a few hours by the fail-fail-fail-fail-WIN?dopamine mechanic as anyone else, even though the whole game is simply trash.

        1. Holy sh*t, I didn’t encounter so much unbased hate in a forum since forever! 😀
Keep up the anger, kiddo! 😀 😀 😀

        2. somebody sounds mad that they can’t beat a FromSoftware game lol many people just enjoy a challenge. hopefully your parents did because raising you was probably harder than any boss in a SoulsBorne game.

          1. somebody sounds mad that they can’t beat a FromSoftware game lol

Dude please, you’re talking to a person who had an alarm clock set at 4 in the middle of the night to outcompete rival guilds in Txevu, while having a job in the morning.

You are a console child if you think From Software games are hard. You don’t even lose your character progress or gear in these games.

          2. Whenever someone mentions that these games are a complete garbage, there’s always the m0ronic fanbase, which knew videogames in PS2 and think this cr4p is hard, with that same old phrase: “yOu’Re MaD CuZ U cAn’T bEaT a SoUlS gAmE”.
These kids are the reason these kind of shltty games become so popular, they think thet know about games, but just know what some ret4ard yOuTuBeR tells them.

  4. Despite receiving critical acclaim and cementing itself one of the highest-rated games of all time, Elden Ring has been having a rough time on Steam. The game is currently sitting at a mixed rating of 60%.

    Mainstream reviewers 10/10
Actual players who bought the game 6/10

    1. The game is probably over-hyped by review sites.

      (XBSX) 95/100

      VideoGamer 9/10

You can’t really trust game review sites anyway.

    2. The attempted damage limitation from the game’s forum moderators and fanboys is quite something!

Moderators actively seeking to censor criticism yet largely failing due to the avalanche of critical comments being so vast.

Rabid Souls fanboys totally losing their minds over paying customers daring to utter anything other than total praise. The usual pitiful personal insults, snarky jibes and accusations of being a “hater”. Some of them have even been blaming 4chan for the ‘Mixed’ review rating on Steam, lol!

          1. You are mentally ill, It’s not just me, you’ve been called weird by other users as well. I remember you talked about your virginity and how you’re proud f being a virgin.
            Well, get well soon buddy.

        1. Right, let’s compare our block lists.
Also there might be people who are capable of not insulting the likes of you and Alex Jones but that’s not me. I call you a rytard because that’s what you are.

          1. Next time look at how old the comment is before replying to it. Even goats understand that.
I’m guessing you’re talking about the recent abortion laws? I’m pissed about that too, I’ve always been against abortion.

          2. I don’t check Disqus often, but when I do, I respond to everything. Leftist tyranny is by definition murderous.

I hope it doesn’t offend you, but I commend you on your defense of the unborn. I don’t understand how you can oppose child slaughter and defend leftism.

    3. Or it could be that most of the actual players who bought the game come from PS (given that they’ve released PS exclusives in the past) and that the PC player base for FromSoftware titles is typically not that large (relative to PS)?

Therefore the issues affecting PC players specifically don’t have a heavy effect on the overall rating?

Christ, critical thinking is not a strong suit here at all.

    1. 90% aren’t hardcore dopamine addicts that mean they would only sell to 10% if labeled correctly – So they chose to lie… and like that’s something new in this industry especially when it comes from a company that can’t even make ports right yet take full price for them?

    1. This is why I increasingly haven’t trusted game review sites.

Aggregate Score on Metacritic from review sites for Elden Ring:

      (PC) 95/100
      (PS5) 97/100]
      (XBSX) 95/100[

      Review Sites:

GamesRadar 5 out of 5 Stars
Hardcore Gamer 5 out of 5 Stars
      IGN 10/10

  5. If anyone cares what I think, I am enjoying the game so far. Exploring is fun and I have died plenty. You can go a lot of places and the only thing that stops you is how bold you are.

    1. Oi mate, I do care for what you think!
Enjoy your game and ignore critics, cause they didn’t pay the game nor the electricity bill for you.
This is not the kind of game I like to waste my time with, so I envy you on this. You have an awesome new game to play, while I’ll have to re-run some good ol’ classic here. But for now, another beer will do.
      Cheers mate!
