Flying Squirrel Entertainment has announced that its historical first/third person combat game, Battle Cry of Freedom, will release on March 1st. And, in order to celebrate this announcement, the team released a brand new trailer for it.

Battle Cry of Freedom brings brutal real-time first and third-person combat set in the 19th Century America, presenting players with the opportunity to re-fight the American Civil War as either the Union or the Confederacy.

The game promises to feature a wide range of weaponry; from long range rifled muskets and devastating artillery, to various deadly close combat tools.

In this game, players will take part in massive multiplayer battles with up to 400 players simultaneously. Additionally, the game will also support another mode, called Commander Battles. In this mode, players will take control over a company of AI-controlled soldiers. Now what’s awesome here is that this mode will support up to 800 Bots per Server.

Not only that, but Battle Cry of Freedom will destructible environments. Players can destroy bridges, fell trees, punch holes in walls, and blow up fences. Add also to this a dynamic weather system. According to the devs, wind and lightning will break trees, and rain and fog will lower visibility.

Lastly, Battle Cry of Freedom will realistically simulate real-life bullet physics by modelling not only velocity and twist rate, but also takes into account factors such as humidity, temperature, air density, local gravity, wind direction and wind strength.

Enjoy!

    1. It’s made modders who’re also historical battle re-enactors. It’s a safe bet to make that it isn’t made by woke parasites.

Flying Squirrel Entertainment was originally formed from the team behind the “Mount & Musket” modification for Mount & Blade: Warband, to make the official expansion for the same game: “Napoleonic Wars”. Based in Europe, the team consists of four members. All of us are former modders, and formed FSE when we decided to start making our own games instead of spending our skills tweaking other people’s creations. We are also progressive/hardcore re-enactors and take part in living-history events all across Europe. As we come from both a gaming and a living history background, we are very passionate about what we create!

      1. The very same war that my people killed eachother to free someone who stabbed them and there descendants in the back.

        1. Americans didn’t kill other Americans to free the enslaved; they killed Confederates.

Why would freedmen stab their liberators in the back? How would freedmen travel down through the last one and one-half centuries to stab their liberators’ descendants in the back?

It sounds like you’re haunted, but not by the spirits of any knife-wielding freedmen.
