Super Dungeon Maker, Zelda meets Super Mario Maker, is coming to Steam Early Access on February 15th

FIRECHICK has announced that Super Dungeon Maker, an adorable 2D pixel art dungeon-crawler-meets-level-designer mash-up, will launch on Steam Early Access on February 15th. FIRECHICK described this game as a Zelda-inspired level editor like Super Mario Maker.

In Super Dungeon Maker, you will design and create your very own pixel art-style dungeons of varying themes and difficulties. Then, you can share these dungeons with the community. Players can use as many levels, enemies, items, and bosses in their dungeon creations as they wish. Additionally, you can play a near-infinite number of imaginative, clever dungeons made by other creators from all over the world.

The game’s Early Access version will have the level editor and the first two worlds. Moreover, players will be able to share their dungeons with the community.

Lastly, this Early Access phase will last around 6 months. During this period, the devs will be adding more content (more worlds and more enemies). The final version will also have a single-player campaign.

Enjoy!

  1. Why don’t I feel anything for this??
I used to love A Link to the Past on Super Famicom.
It feels like there’s something wrong with it, but I don’t know what.

It doesn’t feel like it has a “soul”, I guess.
Like most games which focus either on randomly generated content, or user-created content… Meh…?

I didn’t even play 10% of the Zelda games which came out since 30 years, so I’d rather go back to those old games. (let’s not even mention the countless hacked roms)
