Battlefield 2042 will get a new Scoreboard in February, first WIP look

As DICE noted, the Scoreboard will receive further updates beyond this refresh. From what we can see, players will be able to get more information from this Scoreboard than the one that is currently available in the game.

DICE also revealed that a new small patch for Battlefield 2042 will release tomorrow. Update 3.2 will deliver a handful of small fixes and improvements to the game focused around stability.

Lastly, the team is still working on improving the game’s performance, and is looking into making some changes to Matchmaking. DICE will also make some changes to the XP you receive in Portal. For instance, Update 3.2 will enable more servers and game types to progress on Mastery and Weekly Missions.

  1. So they’re bringing back a “legacy” feature only to butcher it? Why is the score board not displaying each team instead of a list of all the players in the server? Also no ping?

  2. Good of them, trying to put a band-aid on the Titanic. Just to give you an idea: right now, there’s 3 times more people playing Battlefield V than 2042. Three times

  3. This game is a great testament to the dumpster fire, that is modern gaming. JFC….. can we PLEASE have another market crash already?

    1. I don’t see how there will be a market crash when most gamers buy the games on pre-order or right when they are first released before they are even patched.

For example Cyberpunk 2077 had 8 million pre-orders and only 30,000 returns for refund.

      1. Never going to happen. Old gamers and hardcore gamers are choosing to go back in time for old TRUE VIDEO GAMES, new comers starting to like the taste of poop that is being shoved down their throats… How can you enjoy to play a game with this conditions: Pre-order trap, Free to Install, always online, sick DRM, Microtransactions, subscriptions, Streaming, lags, need 160GB+ in ssd, thousand of useless updates that fix sh*t, ban for no fowking reason, Nfts, 70$ or more for unfinished crap…
I miss does days when you pay 40/60$ and you got your game finished on a fantastic box ready to play without this day one update… and you play it like there is no fowking tomorrow.

        1. That’s what I’m doing. Playing games from the 90s to the mid 2000s. Those were some days of great gaming. You bought a boxed game that had artwork on it. A manual inside and often times some extras. Like Alpha Centauri (1999) had a poster inside the box with a tech tree on it.

Best of all the game was usually already patched and polished. The only game I remember that had issues was Civilization III (2001) that constantly crashed on me but soon after release Firaxis put out a patch for it and I never had another problem with it.

          Gaming today is a mess.

        1. Of course, same reason Steam and YT dont have working dislikes on comments – they think the “negative experience” will drive away sensitive snowflakes.

  4. They should divert their financial resources in developing a program to delete every and any trace of this game from the internet and users PC’s trough out the whole world

  5. Where are the deaths? Where are the pings? Where is the squads breakdown? How do I choose which squad I want to join? How do I create a new squad? How do I lock a squad? How do I kick someone from the squad? How do I mutiny the squad leader?

Come on DICE… this stuff was in previous games. You need to do much better.

  6. if EA wants people to play this game….solution…kill the cancerous origin launcher!

its so disgusting you might want to check the files on that launchers , because it uses pishing ,dont you belive me? i have proof

some time ago i found on the launcher”s it was using pishing , so i went to ea on facebook and questioned them about it , it toke minutes to respond , saying they wanted to look into it….

if you wan ti can post a video about that,*youtube shorts * maybe?

  7. Too little, too late, this piece of sh*t has under 7000 players in it right now and every time I try to join a match, there are 20 players per team and everyone else is a bot.

  8. Not even the Gaymers want to play this trash, slowly but surely they are waking up to the fact that the modern Video Gayme is nothing more than a cesspit of phaggotry and political propaganda, made by people who despise them dearly.

Also, I thought the scoreboard and being able to view ones K/D Ratio was oppressive, Gayme Urinalists feel threatened when they have to bare witness they’re 0-20.

  9. this is half-assed scoreboard!
Where is the death stats? where is the pings?
