One month ago, a video surfaced for a motorcycle game, claiming to be the most realistic game for PS5. That video was from RIDE 4, a game that had already been released on the PC a year ago. And today, Digital Dreams shared a video, showcasing this game running in 8K with Reshade Ray Tracing.
Now the reason I did not share the previous video was because it was as clickbaity as it could get. For starters, the YouTuber used a replay camera that’s not available while actually playing the game. That cinematic camera gave the illusion of a much better-looking game. Not only that, but you could easily notice the “game-y” graphics of the game in that video. For instance, most houses were blocky and the screen-space reflections on the road were obvious. Still, this didn’t stop channels and websites from overhyping the PS5 for offering such “mind-blowing” visuals. Again, this game was already available on PC, so yeah.
But anyway, Digital Dreams used Reshade Ray Tracing in order to slightly improve the game’s graphics. And while the game looks quite good visually, it’s nowhere close to what you’d expect from a “photorealistic” game. Also, and to their credit, Digital Dreams used a gameplay camera angle.
RIDE 4 came out on PC on October 8th, 2020. The game uses original CAD and 3D scans of real models in order to provide better visuals than its predecessors. Additionally, it features dynamic lighting and weather conditions.
Enjoy!

a bit glowy other than that it looks perfect.
I know the channel you’re talking about and it’s nothing but clickbait console circle jerking. Imagine buying a console for the graphics lol
Graphics in racing games have always seemed to be the easiest to make “realistic”. They’ve always lead the charge in looking realistic, versus other games with far more dynamics involved.
I dunno, I just can’t get hyped over “graphics” anymore, especially in racing games, no matter how good they may look.
I’m tired of games that look good under particular conditions, and still suffer from hilarious grades of clipping, and other archaic s**t when you try to interact 3D models together. Crap that should have been addressed years ago.
Maybe start turning some of that processing power towards real time manipulation of materials, instead of this tired old puppet looking garbage we’ve seen for the past 25 years.
When I can see a character model bend a limb and not have it look like the most ridiculous thing since PS1? I might start to care about graphics again.
Until 3D objects start becoming physically dynamic in real time, game graphics will just continue to be smoke and mirrors bulls**t.
Aaahhh, thank you for that!!!
Agreed. Dynamic and reactive gameworld and characters is what we desperately need these days. It seems that games have actually regressed in that regard as some early 2000s games had way better destruction and physics but today it’s a tall order.
Stuff displayed in the rearview mirrors just dissappears into thin air a few meters after you pass it LOL
Good catch and it makes the Developer look lazy.
the last time i checked the PS5 cant use reshade neither can it run full games at 8k
I know what they did with PS4 Cyberpunk before release, but is it about something else too?
I’m starting to think that channel is owned by John and he just post here every video he uploads with the same crap titles like 8K ULTRA RT BEYOND LIMITS NEXT GEN OMG
That game is a one trick pony, play it on real time not using the replay cam and choose any other weather condition and the decent visuals goes away instantly, no 8k nor Reshade will save it.
I think OP has a list of favorite channels : Digital Dreams, Cycu,ElAnalistadelBits. Funny he does not post anything from big channels that do exactly the same video. I guess he has some hate for them!
Another “clickbait” article…
Indeed. Hypocritical that he calls out a Youtube video for being clickbait when this article’s headline also fits that description. The body of the article offers no analysis or any meat to chew on, just a barebones rant and he’s done because he already got his shekels from everyone clicking on this piece of trash.
Yeah, photorealistic my ars3!
I wouldn’t call it photorealistic, but it does come very close, and it does look good. I do wonder about the physics behind the tire when it goes to gravel and then asphalt again.
0:21 yeah the way buildings fades on the left mirror is also insane ???
Whoever wrote this article, this is pc gameplay u f*kold
Someone should learn the purpose of using “quotes” in titles (or actually read the article). We are making fun of the “most photorealistic game for PS5” term… but then you’d know that if you read the article (and not just the title).
