New official Halo Infinite campaign trailer released

The first campaign gameplay trailer/video for Halo: Infinite disappointed a lot of gamers back in 2020. In fact, that trailer was the reason 343 Industries and Microsoft decided to delay the game for over a year. And, here we are today, a couple of months away from the game’s release, with a brand new gameplay trailer for it.

In Halo Infinite, the Master Chief returns to confront the most ruthless foe he’s ever faced.

As the description for this video reads:

“Here’s a fresh look at the Halo Infinite campaign that introduces players to true Spartan freedom in the biggest, most wide-open and adventure-filled Halo experience.”

Halo Infinite will support all the PC-specific features players have come to expect. As such, PC gamers can expect support for ultrawide/super ultrawide monitors, FOV adjustments, and framerate customization. Moreover, it will come with advanced graphics settings, weapon offset control, triple key-binds and PC LAN support. It’s also worth noting that 343 Industries will add Ray Tracing effects via a post-launch update.

Halo Infinite releases on December 8th.

    2. Alex : I watched Halo Infinite Campaign Overview – there sure is some stuff to talk about there. But I could not help but notice that animation issue is still present. In Infinite – the animation rate is lower than the framerate for key first person animations.

          Don’t be silly latex. Killzone games always was a 30 fps POS. Halo on slower Xbox One have locked 60 fps. Maybe you don’t see difference between 30 fps and 60 fps but for me it is night and day

  4. What the hell? This game is launching with these graphics in a couple of months? Or do they generally manage to improve graphics in the last month or two of development and will do the same here? God, this is terrible.

    1. No, they don’t improve in the last two months before release. This is what will launch.
      There is a ray-tracing update in the works for god knows when (if they have promised a date it doesn’t matter, it’ll get delayed any way), but that will only run on Series X and high-end GPUs most likely and who knows if it’s actually good or just for reflections or penumbra shadows.

      The game needs an overhaul of its lighting system. It’s clearly not on a comparable level to other open world games, let alone more “focused” level design in modern games. Then again Far Cry 6 has a similar outdated look so it really seems to be a problem with cross-gen engines.

      1. I have to say, the current situation of the comments section(voted by many people I have never seen post here) of your website is quite sad. I have stopped sharing links to DSOG to everyone due to what is written here. It destroys the well thought out, and well written articles, including mod suggestions(which I love) with absolutely crazy and unhinged posts with no basis on facts or even insane ideas.

        I got tired warning others not to visit the comments section. Right now it feels like we are eating on a very fine restaurant, with 3 Michelin stars, and a bunch of Antifa protestors is yelling at our ears and destroying our enjoyment.

        4. I’m not offending/attacking you, but here is some food for thought. When you see someone that you don’t agree with on the street, will you demand the government to put him in prison? Even if he/she hasn’t done any crime (and just because he/she says things you don’t agree with)? Isn’t that dictatorship? Instead of, you know, completely ignoring him? You can use Disqus to ignore users and never bother with their comments, meaning you won’t have to read anyone’s comments you don’t like. I seriously can’t understand why people refuse to use this feature of Disqus. It’s right there and will make your whole experience more pleasant.

I agree, blocking them is a good alternative(I have them blocked), the problem begins when I want to share something from the website and I have to add a warning not to check the comments because there are some absolutely crazy spergs here. Plus, if we go with known history, OAG lost his disqus service because of people like them. I stopped sharing links to your website because of that.

            Then we have people doing downright illegal stuff, like death threats here, which I believe is kinda akin to what I mentioned in my previous message. A great place to read stuff, ruined by yapping and yelling spergs like these people.

            Then we have the fact that some of the people who voted for the first option on the policy, I have never seen them interact with anybody here(or at least recently). This makes me suspicious of vote manipulation.

          2. I’ve checked their history. All the “final/voted comments” were from accounts with more than 70 comments (and they weren’t spam accounts). Naturally, some users created new accounts to vote which I banned.

            Regarding death threats, I haven’t seen anything like “I’ll come to your home, k*ll your family, etc”. All I see are comments that are also on Twitter or Facebook. If someone gets death threats, they can report the comment. If it’s a ridiculous “K*ll yourself you a*shole”, it’s not really a death threat. It’s a stupid comment. If it’s more than that (and has a predatory/stalking nature), we may take action.

          3. But were they recent, or did they comment more than a year ago? You are also giving them the benefit of the doubt, having it completely open(which is a great idea) but it always ends up being infested by these people. Either way they are a demographic that has proven that they would censor everyone given the chance. Their society censored media, burned books, censored speech of everyone. Maybe subjecting them to the same rules they advocate for, and put others into is a good thing. I’m all for making people suffer the rules they advocate for.

As for the images, if they used a photo of yours (or had a gun pointed to the image, or blood, or f’ck knows what), we’d be deleting the comment (as soon as someone would report it in case it passed under our radar).             And as you can see, I’m not the only one who noticed the sudden drop in quality of the comments section. It began to be this bad when OAG went under. And they came here to infest this place.

          15. There have been a lot of new people commenting and not all of them are offending others. I also don’t understand the OAG relation I’ve been hearing for a while. DSOGaming is also a WAY bigger website than OAG, so it’s bit disrespecting calling it the new “OAG”. It’s not the new OAG. It’s DSOGaming. There might be an overlap of commentators, but the same can be said about other tech/gaming websites like WCCFTech.

          16. OAG, one angry gamer, was a website like this, offering gaming news, but with the extra part of making comments of other SJW related content. It used to be bigger, but it fell as the author sold the website. And the people who used to comment there all came here. The comments section here used to be much more chill. Sometimes there was one or two soybois, but mostly chill. OAG comments section(back then) was a big massive mess, like DSOG is right now.

            And OAG used to have disqus. But disqus booted him and his website out due to the content of the comments section. And thus he had to find another provider. This may end up happening to DSOG like it happened to OAG. (using new comment provider: https://archive(dot)md/qa8Md (you can also see a few people who posted there posting here with the same name)

            Nobody forces you to go down into the comment section. There are 1001 other sites that sit empty and barren that have the exact type of comment policy you want just waiting for you to visit.

          22. It also happened to Nichegamer. The Capcom document leaks attracted the basement nazis like sh¡t attracts flies, which led to some truly epic internetz battles up to 900 comments long. At about the same time, the site owners heavily promoted Genshin Impact, which further split userbase because it was a Chinese game made to fit CCP guidelines. After a month of non-stop fighting, Disqus was switched out for Insticator (a human-moderated service that censors everyone at random) and the site became a ghost town.

    Yeah not really most games and movies who do this are a skinsuit, they wear that thing you liked in the past as a suit and inside they are modern games.

    This game isnt that different “its an open world now” and you can order vehicles to explore the open world and you have outposts which you destroy by opening up the valve and raising the thing you suppose to blow up, like homefront the revolution and terminator resistance and just cause and far cry new dawn. Yawn every game is the same nowadays you played one of them you played them all.

    I suppose it can get away with dated graphics if it has a vast open world game but in fact its a bunch of “areas” as the map in the video calls them, so not really open world either. This isnt bad per say most vast open world games are boring, but from my experience linear games have better pacing and environments than open world games. I dont understand why this game must be open world with nonlinear outpost destruction and rpg mechanics. Why does every game nowadays need to be like every game ever? Id rather it was a linear game like the old games.

    “following the events of halo 5” well about that, i know its trash but how about releasing it on pc so we get the full story?

    I gotta say though the grapplehook is cool, i hope the next far cry game has one, in fact i hope every game has one.

  18. Graphics looks decent, but not good enough for being a 1st party game from Microsoft, hell even FC6 looks better than this. Gunplay seems bland and lacks any impact. The open world is so generic and boring to look at… Atleast it will launch on gamepass and will have coop mode post launch, i’ll play it with a friend when that comes out, since raiding bases and outpost with mates allways been fun for me.

  25. It’s the same thing fundamentally. Yes, the movement is better and there’s a layer of clutter objects and better skin shaders, more hand-placed shadow casting light sources as well. But it’s still the same game we saw in that old demo. The fact that the’re showing hitmarkers in a singleplayer trailer says everything about how tonedeaf 343 are. You’re supposed to have clear particle effects and shield reactions to shots hitting. Hitmarkers are not needed. You can tell when you hit without a giant X covering the view. Why add hitmarkers? Because 343 is full of COD people who never liked Halo. I pity the few 343 employees who really do care about Halo and get what made it great. Some aspects of the game are done really well and it’s a shame they have to go under with this confused, mis-managed company.
