Back 4 Blood feature

Back 4 Blood will be now using the Denuvo anti-tamper tech

Warner Bros has updated the Steam store page for Back 4 Blood, revealing that the game will be now using the Denuvo anti-tamper tech. Back 4 Blood will release on October 12th and its Steam store page had not included Denuvo when its pre-orders went live earlier this Summer.

Back 4 Blood is a co-op first-person shooter in which players will experience the intense 4 player co-op narrative campaign, competitive multiplayer as human or Ridden, and frenetic gameplay that keeps you in the action. Players will choose from 8 customizable Cleaners, one of the immune survivors, and a range of lethal weapons and items. Additionally, they will strategize against an ever-evolving enemy.

The game will also have a competitive PvP mode. Players can switch between playing as a Cleaner with special perks and the horrific Ridden. Both sides will come with unique weapons, abilities, and specialties.

Now since this game is mainly a multiplayer title, I don’t really see what’s the reason for including Denuvo. Do Turtle Rock Studios and Warner Bros think that PC gamers will prefer playing it with bots? Then again, this isn’t the only multiplayer-focused game that uses Denuvo.

But anyway, the PC version will aksi support uncapped framerates, resolutions up to 4K, and NVIDIA’s DLSS tech. Furthermore, the game will support cross-play between PC and consoles.

Stay tuned for more!

  1. when you are so desperate for sales you want to make sure the few pirates who are willing to download a online game to play with themselves dont even get to see how crap your game is.

Seems like damage control to me like they dont want anyone who didnt pay them to post videos mocking their game.

  2. Isn’t this game always online even for the SP with bots trainer mode? Talk about a pointless layer of DRM.

    1. I sent that racist zombies video to my neighbor and he started ranting to me about how trump ruined the internet and how racism isn’t funny and that I quote “went out of my way to send that to him” xD xD

  3. Least of all concerns should be DRM on some live service trash..

How about the fact that the entry price is $60 and is filled with p2w elements, battlepasses, cosmetics and other mtx, from the same developer that completely abandoned and shut down their previous live service. There’s a PvP element to the game but you *must* buy the $100 edition to have a fully playable arsenal. It’s fxcked beyond belief and nobody is talking about it.

Btw, the open beta had inflated exe too – signifying denuvo drm being added to the game long time ago… way before this freshly introduced warning on the store page. Of course pre-orders have been open for a long time, but only less than 2 weeks from launch they start mentioning that there will be extra drm garbage on top.

You don’t need to pay 60 usd. This game is available on day one in Game Pass for 1 usd – without Denuvo. Games in Game Pass don’t support Denuvo

        1. “No Denuvo (source???)”

Windows Store don’t support Denuvo or any other third party DRM. All Games on Game Pass are without Denuvo because they are installed from Windows Store

Denuvo is exclusive to Steam edition

  4. I enjoyed the beta but the few hours I played gave me my fix. I actually just felt more compelled to go back to left 4 dead tbh. Can’t say I care to buy this game. Might check it out when it’s under $10 down the road

  5. Timely announced, right after all the pre-orders are in by the FOMO gaming imbeciles that keep these studios alive.

  6. WB seems hellbent on killing their games/movies etc and i suspect they will succeed at an even greater rate with this game

  7. Denuvo will be optional on launch – available only in Steam version

Game will be on day one also in Game Pass for 1 usd without Denuvo. Game Pass games don’t use Denuvo because it is not supported by MS Store.

Denuvo version on Steam will have bad preformance you can use version without Denuvo for 1 usd

          1. That what I thought at first. But they totally don’t trace your IP and don’t see your tricks…..ye.
“But use different VPNs bro” for downloading 50-100 GB games.

          2. Haha, don’t tell him that. “you can’t be NEW every time”. cracked me the hell up man. Good laughter for a Sunday morning. ????

    1. What is the matter with you young man? Is this what drives you out of bed in the morning? Holy $hit STICK man. Why are you doing this? What’s in it for you? Is it the misery loves company syndrome or you just love using your keyboard at the crack of dawn? So many questions I have for you. We should grab lunch and i won’t show up.

  8. Left4Dead reskin with Deadnuvo? Coolio. Shut up and leave my money in my wallet.

I think whoever wanted to experience this already did so during the extended betas.

  9. The damn game was already walking on egg shells now they add this BS.
May as well make it freemium or just cancel it.

  10. Enjoyed the co-op play during beta, and was looking forward to playing the full campaing, but refund requested for my Ultimate Edition purchase on Steam. GG, WB, GG.

  11. I’d say even “World War Z Aftermath” is less snooze-inducing, and that game is already a dud (at least it runs super fluid with everything maxed out. Swarm engine seems pretty decent). As for Left4Poz, it’s woke AF so it can have all the Denuvo it wants, maybe CPY will crack it (won’t get won’t play in any case)
