The first technical preview beta phase for Halo: Infinite is currently underway and below you can find some 4K/Ultra screenshots from it.
In order to capture these screenshots, we used an Intel i9 9900K with 16GB of DDR4 at 3600Mhz, NVIDIA’s RTX 3080, Windows 10 64-bit, and the GeForce driver 471.41. We’ve also included MSI Afterburner as it showcases the CPU and the GPU usage.
Halo Infinite’s Technical Beta build is currently CPU-bound. Even at 4K/Ultra, our RTX3080 was never used to its fullest. Moreover, the game used all of our eight CPU cores during our playthrough. Unfortunately, though, our performance did not increase when we enabled Hyper-Threading.
Since this is a technical preview, you should not pay attention to these performance figures. Still, this is something to keep in mind, especially if you are taking place in this beta testing. So yeah, Halo Infinite Tech Beta Build currently requires a lot of CPU power on PC.
Furthermore, and since this is a tech beta build, the game’s graphics do not represent those of the final product. However, these screenshots can at least give you an idea of its art style.

I pity anyone who will sit there through something like Dragon Age. They actually think the people making that game care about a RPG or a fun game at this point. Doom was designed as 60 fps game. Halo is designed as 120 fps game so every frame need to render in just 8 ms.
Even weak Series S (299 usd) run this game at 1080p 120fps. Faster Xbox Series X (499 usd) render game in 2160p at 120 fps. This game will work on any PC

MS promote 120fps in games because they know that Playstation 5 don’t support 120 fps in games because of HDMI limitations. Sony used older GPU in own console with don’t support native HDMI 2.1 and is limited to 32 Gbps instead of required 40 Gbps
Currently Xbox support more than 100 games with 120fps mode, Playstation 5 just 11 such games with limited colors (8 bit instead of 10 bits)

I haven’t been a Halo fan for a long time. This doesn’t even feel like Halo. The graphics complaints are bogus. I’ve seen what passes as “good” to the people complaining. I’m actually getting tired of reading this all the time. Halo has only set a visual bar a selected amount times. Do to having their release dates much later into the gen. But It’s not been the reason to jump into the games. The series is more about the co-op.

Played it on XSX and feels great to play. Graphically it’s very clean with decent lighting.

Optimization is very good – every modern PC should run this game at 144 fps:
– Xbox Series S (4 TFLOPS) – 120 fps at 1080p
– Xbox Series X (12 TFOPS) – 120 fps at 2160p
Series X does not feels like it is running at full native 2160p to be honest, I could be wrong ofcourse.

I’d be happy you get a stable 120. Don’t expect both on consoles. You get what you pay for with basic computer components running a custom OS. If console manufacturers went back to custom hardware we’d see bigger improvements between generations. I’m in the flighting right now. Sadly the game plays like halo 5 still. It’s tailored for fast pace COD like players with AimDownSight and sprint.
I mean on its own it’s a decent game. But it’s far far from a halo game. I am very disappointed.
I am also disappointed in the supposed “Die Hard Fans”; They all complained about halo 5 for years, then 343 serves them up the same game but painted with a coat of nostalgia and they eat it up…. Even some YouTubers whom I’ve respected in the past years is eating this game up.
