The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project NextGen – Second Preview Comparison Video

Modder ‘Halk Hogan’ has released the second preview comparison video for The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project NextGen. This new video showcases some of the new textures that will be included in it.

Do note that this is a mod and has nothing to do with the official Next Gen Update that CD Projekt RED is currently working on. We also don’t know whether this mod will be compatible with The Witcher 3 Next Gen. According to the modder, though, HDPR may be included in the official next-gen update.

The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project NextGen will feature ultra quality lore-friendly 4K textures. Halk Hogan has done an incredible job at keeping the game’s art style intact. Furthermore, the mod will come with high-quality smooth meshes, better objects LODs (Level of Detail). It will also have increased draw distance for some objects.

Halk Hogan plans to release The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project NextGen in 2021.

Enjoy the video and stay tuned for more!

  1. Adding stone pillars to the edges of buildings with seams in them was clever. Amazing work as usual.

  2. So, what are the improvements over the 12.0 Ultimate release (which was already great)? Also, what makes it next-gen?

  3. no matter how many you milk it….it still looks decent (not wow) not that perfect & doesn’t look next-gen at all …….& it will never bring back those e3 2013 & vgx textures to that game……game is already showing its age on environment textures…….look at valhalla environment textures & rdr 2 textures……witcher 3 downgrade is even worse than watchdogs…….the best aaa lying developer Cd Projekt Red & same they will keep lying on their future games……

But TW3 was released the full 6 years ago. Valhalla was released 6 months ago, and RDR2 on PC a year and a half ago, I wonder how these two games will compare with new AAA releases 5 years from now…
