Modder ‘AshenbubsHD’ has released a new HD Texture Pack for Final Fantasy XI that overhauls around 240,000 textures. AshenbubsHD comes in two versions, uses AI techniques in order to enhance the game’s vanilla textures, and you can download it right now.

  1. The Mod is trash, take a look at most characters eyes, especially taru eyes. They are all buggy and not even centered. Instead of fixing it the creator just complains because he wasn’t getting positive attention. Wonders why LS’s kick him for poor attitude.

  2. A legitimate website actively encouraging the usage of mods in FFXI? First time i hear about this website and it also will hopefully be the last time. If youre trying to attract attention of players dont encourage breaking the terms of service lol

      1. thing is, as a legitimate website like this, mod usage shouldnt be encouraged lmao. is this a mod dicussion forum or are we actively seeking ways to break the ToS of the game now?

modders get banned all the time anyway

  3. The reason this looks bad to trained eyes is because it is the original textures passed through Topaz Gigapixel AI. It has a property that requires a good eye to curtail which blurs objects together, making them look like a cartoon. This translates to doe-ey eyes on characters and a host of other common artifacts to those of us that use it. Not everyone knows when to stop. Everyone on American Idol thinks that they can sing.

TL;DR: You are using subpar filters of the original art but are using all of your video memory.

You can make the default textures look pretty much like this with Nvidia Profile Inspector.
