Rumor: Bethesda’s Starfield could get released in 2021

Starfield is the long-rumored science-fiction title from Bethesda Game Studios. Starfield is the first of the two upcoming major triple-A titles from Bethesda. The second upcoming title is The Elder Scrolls VI. Last year, Microsoft acquired Bethesda for 7.5 billion dollars.

According to an insider, Microsoft and Bethesda were aiming to release the game in 2021. This was their initial goal, but due to unforeseen circumstances the intended goal might have been affected. “How major the impacts due to COVID have been on the title is anyone’s guess, but 2021 was the intended goal for release as of a few months ago”.

However, nothing is certain at this point, and neither Microsoft nor Bethesda has officially responded. “I’m not saying it’ll 100% for certain happen; but, as of late last year, I was hearing the goal was to launch this year. But it is a Bethesda game and delays or issues may arise to prevent the release from coming”.

Lastly, Fallout 4 and Fallout 76, both announced and released in their respective years. Based on that, Starfield could probably be released this year. As always, we will make sure to keep you informed about any further developments.

  1. “. But it is a Bethesda game and delays or issues may arise to prevent the release from coming”.”

    why we shouldnt care.

    1. don’t worry this game will still use the sh**ty gamebyro engine. meaning modders will fix there sh**ty game that they probably only spent two years working on.

      1. After BS like Cyberpunk 2077 having NPCs that are just window-dressing, I’ve come to appreciate Bethesda RPGs with their Radiant AI giving NPCs full daily schedules and life behaviours. Mind you the quest stories will likely still be the same poorly written BS, but nobody with a clue plays Beth RPGs for the stories, they do so for the gameplay sandboxes and open worlds.

  2. Let’s be honest here though. Does anyone really care at this point, given what Bethesda has shoveled out over the past 5 years, along with being bought my Microsoft?

    Moving along………

    1. I don’t like MS but I feel like that might actually be a good thing that someone’s gonna kick some sense into Bethesda.

  3. I’m pretty confident that it will release this year they’ve been working on tandem with 9th Gen consoles before they were even unveiled and now that they’re finally out and Microsoft needs a killer app they’ll be sure to release it.
Nothing else due from Bethesda as well outside Deathloop and Ghostwire: Tokyo so I’m sure they’ll announce it at E3 and then release it during the Christmas holiday season.

    It will also be mediocre

  4. Could the site please ban him on account of racism? Isn’t there a line you don’t cross ever when on public? What does he even wanna say with “degenerated piece of greek crap” exactly?
