Gearbox has removed Denuvo from Borderlands 3

Gearbox has released a new patch for Borderlands 3 that removes the Denuvo anti-tamper tech from it. As such, PC gamers – who boycott games using Denuvo – can finally purchase this game on Steam.

Borderlands 3 is currently available on both Steam and Epic Games Store, and support cross-play between them.

In August 2020, Take-Two stated that the game had passed its 10 million goal, selling 10.5 million units on all platforms. Borderlands 3 also had a successful launch, with concurrent players twice as high as Borderlands 2’s all-time peak.

For Borderlands 3, Gearbox partnered with AMD. As such, this was one of the first games that supported AMD’s FidelityFX tech. However, the game had optimization issues at launch. Nevertheless, it’s good knowing that the game is currently Denuvo-free on Steam.

Have fun!

    1. psst that robot has they/them pronouns and if you use the wrong pronouns they gonna ban you from their forums, you robophobe.

    1. Man, I’m tell you who. People that now believes that they’ll actually own the game of it doesn’t have Denuvo. Haha, are they sadly mistaken. DRM has been a thorm in my side for years. I have no interest in rebuying the same game 2x at all so I’ll see it when it comes to GOG if a game doesn’t come to GOG then I guess I’m riding the High Seas. I’m not paying for something I don’t own. Steam, Epic, Uplay & Origin is just another Warden fighting to keep you in their respective prisons. Therefore I’m gonna make like all the Steam whor*s usually say, “No GoG = No Buy”.

  1. I got the cracked version sitting on my ssd since forever, never played it. do I have to pirate it all over again?
