Batman Arkham Knight, Battlefield 1 & Metal Gear Solid 5 in 8K/Ultra on NVIDIA GeForce RTX3090

YouTube’s ‘Bang4BuckPC Gamer’  has shared some new videos, showcasing a number of PC games running in 8K and Max Settings on the NVIDIA GeForce RTX3090. To be more precise, the YouTuber showcased Batman Arkham Knight, Battlefield 1, Battlefield 3 and Metal Gear Solid 5 running in 8K/Ultra.

Batman Arkham Knight can run in native 8K with framerates ranging from 40fps to 68fps. Bang4BuckPC Gamer has also enabled most of the NVIDIA GameWorks effects (excluding Enhanced Light Shafts). Batman Arkham Knight still remains one of the best looking games (at least in my opinion), and it’s really amazing watching it running at such ridiculously high resolutions.

Surprisingly enough, Battlefield 1 was running with 60fps in 8K on the NVIDIA GeForce RTX3090. We all know that Frostbite is an amazing engine, however, I wasn’t really expecting a modern BF game to run with 60fps in 8K. Similarly, the RTX3090 had no trouble at all running Battlefield 3 in 8K.

On the other hand, Metal Gear Solid 5 ran with 45-55fps in 8K/Max Settings on the RTX3090. While MGS5 is a cross-gen game, it could not maintain a 60fps experience in 8K. Bang4BuckPC Gamer also tested SoulCalibur 6, which uses Unreal Engine 4. Unfortunately, though, this fighting game could not maintain a constant 60fps experience in 8K on Max Settings.

Lastly, the YouTuber tested F1 2020 and Control in 8K with DLSS 2.0. Do note that all the aforementioned games were running in native 8K. F1 2020 and Control are the only games in which the YouTuber used DLSS 2.0. And, as we can see, F1 2020 runs with constant 60fps in 8K/DLSS on Max Settings which is really neat.

You can also find some other games running in 8K on the RTX3090 here.

Enjoy!

  1. I’d like to see a 3090 card even dare attempt to run a next gen game even at 2k60fps, cus there’s absolutely no way a 3090 will be able to ultra 60fps 4k next gen games.

        1. The next gen GPUs will be out by then. If anyone wants to chase after 4K then prepare to upgrade constantly. 4K is a very expensive resolution to run.

          1. Yeah I know they will be, but people right now strongly believe these are next gen GPUs, they fail to see that these 30xx cards are only bring benchmarked using current gen games, and results aren’t even that impressive. These cards will choke in 2 years

          2. …you do an RTX 3080 is twice as powerful as the PS5, right? You 30fps Soyny Pony lol

        2. What a stupid comment anyone that can afford an RTX 3090 would upgrade to the next card when released.

Besides it will probably still be fine by then anyway.

          1. You think its about affording the silly thing? I’m talking about getting value for your money.

          2. Value for money by whose measure. If you had a good job and plenty of disposable income an RTX 3090 is not that expensive etc.

          3. Its just a salty kid who cant afford the good stuff and drops the logic out the door when comparing cheap vs the things he cant afford because he wants to have that too!

            Pay him no mind.

    1. What are you babbling on about. I’ve been running an RTX 2080 for 4k 60hz for the past two years and will get a newer card once available which will likely last another 2 years etc.

The games won’t advance that much jeez these new consoles aren’t that good a current 2080 would anihilate both of them.

      1. A PS4 with a gpu arguably 10 years old has games that look better than anything out on your PC, and that’s a console that came out 7 years ago, which I bought only one of, which also cost me $400. How much have you spent on PC hardware in the last 7 years, and how much have you payed for the games you’ve played on it? Its about getting value for what you pay for child

        1. As I suspected when I saw you upvote your own comments console idiot.

You clearly know nothing about PC gaming and no your silly little PS4 30hz games are not impressive.

          1. Lol absolute loser checklist
            – Says total none-sense CHECK
            – Upvote his own comment CHECK
            – Take a picture from google and claims it’s from his phone CHECK
            My god… It’s pathetic

          2. I wonder if we ask him what his favorite game is would he answer COD and he pre-orders the new one every year?

          3. ‘I still prefer a PS4’ said no one who owns a PC.

You clearly don’t if you prefer a PS4 lol.

          4. I have a 3090 and can prove it, but lets be honest here, we on PC never had anything like Uncharted series, God of war, last of us and so on.
And when running on PS4Pro, say Uncharted 4 does look amazing and PC doesnt really have anything to show of similar caliber, too many Dumb teenage, online and multiplayer trash games.

I always have Sony console as add on to play exclusives

          5. But Uncharted 4 looks like as*, specially after the huge downgrade. RIse of the Tomb Raider looks better…

          6. I played both. Rise of the Tomb Raider only got exploration and treasures on Uncharted 4. Nothing else.

          7. Compare the E3 2014 reveal with what you got at release…you can still search for it on youtube right now.

          8. We had Tomb Raider, we had plenty of 3rd person titles (more than both consoles combined). So I don’t see your point.

Seriously PC doesn’t have anything of similar caliber? How about you stop spreading nonsense and open google to see for yourself?

PC has all the multiplatforms and plenty of so called exclusives. Throughout the years PC got thousands (tens of thousands) games of all genres. What are you talking about? Microsoft will port all of the games from now on day 1. Spencer knows there’s money to be made. Sony is just testing waters now, because they are conservative Japanese people. Down the road, they will change or perish to MS. Exclusive crap is the last resort for them for now.

Dumb people might even applaud them for forcing them to stay on the platform. Gaming audience for ya.

Also most games aren’t locked to 30 fps. The experience with subpar PC will always be superior to console bull.

          9. You think those games are cheap to make? and having two of that kind is already enough, may as well watch Indiana Jones movies.

          10. Seems like there’s another wave of console gamers hitting this site lately making misleading statements to troll people. I don’t know why they do this. I’ve never gone to a console gamer site and stirred up trouble. I don’t see the point in it. Gamers choose the platform that suits them best. For me it’s PC and has been for decades.

The last and only console I owned was back in 1980.

        2. Well, no console has any game that looks better than anything on PC, man. C’mon.

Also, PC’s can do much, much, much more than any console. Nobody buys a PC “just” for gaming. I mean, well, most people don’t. I’m sure a minority may.

Consoles have been shown to make concessions on graphics vs. performance on practically every occasion. I get you want to die on your hill of console superiority, but you have to know when you don’t have a leg to stand on.

Consoles will never, ever compete with ever changing PC. It just doesn’t even make logical sense to try and argue a static configuration, to an ever improving one.

          1. He’s a particularly ‘special’ breed of Sony Pony with a posting history consisting of little more than trash talking Xbox across numerous different gaming sites.

          2. That does sound “special” indeed. He must not have much of a life. Petty sad way to live imo

          3. Both PS and Xbox consoles are trash. So they can shake hands.

We can’t turn blind eye thinking these consoles bring anything to the table. Maybe cheaping out the initial investment for the people getting into gaming. But the experience will always be inferior to at least somewhat capable PC.

If people have such bad eyes they cant tell the difference between 60 and 144 Hz, I’d say they can definitely go with the consoles peacefully.

Also exclusives are a cheap way to force people to own a platform. M$ is holding the aces at the moment and hopefully this will force Sony to stop with those practices.

Nintendo? Well Nintendo being Nintendo will always be Nintendo. Manufacturing SD cards with games and stuff like that. Leave them to themselves.

      2. Jup 2080 can run alot of games at 4k, but not on highest settings. Sure enough with the same arbitary logic, you can run 4k on a GTX970.. On some games with “expected” settings. 2080 was never that powerful. There was just luck of sportsmanship from AMD and also low to little progression in pushing the tech boundaries from the SoftWare developers. Conslow that’s why.

The 30090 will probly play 4k/60fps most of the upcomming games and well, it will gradually fall off as the tech power-demand increase. Thats how its always been right?

        1. You’d be suprised and I hear this a lot as a lot of PC gamers don’t seem to know which stttings to adjust.

Take AC Odyssey for example a well known very demanding game. I play that at 4k 60hz with AA and volumetric clouds both set to medium everything else maxed out and an FOV 110. I average 55 to 60 fps which is absolutely fine for that kind of game.

So no not arbitary at all.

          1. And with your setting the game looks like maxed Ultra….You’ll never notice the diffeerence while playing!

      1. Yeah I couldn’t care less about Xbox, because we all know PS5 exclusives are going to look lightyears better than anything on PC/Xbox. If they were able to achieve close to photorealistic graphics on a weak a*s GPU I can only imagine what the ps5 is going to do next gen. I go where the games are at, I couldn’t care less for upgrading my PC. Enjoy your mediocre shiz

    1. because it probably can’t. Quake2 uses full blown RT procedures that tank anything. I bet the 3090 can go close to a 4k / 60 though on Q2.

  2. I really should replay Arkham Knight. I only played it on a ps4. Be nice to replay it with Ultra settings on pc. Got it free on Epic game store. Time to use the damn thing. Free game!!

  3. Batman AK is a wonderful game …. but even at 8k there is aliasing …. the antialiasing used in this game has always been his Achilles heel…
