Crusader Kings III sold more units in its launch month than its main competitors. These competitors are none other than Total War: Three Kingdoms and Sid Meier’s Civilization VI.
Lastly, the player numbers of Rocket League nearly tripled in September, up 193% a week after the F2P shift. Revenue-wise, total digital sales from September 23 to 30 (when the game was free to play) nearly matched the three previous weeks.

3) “All” means all. The Founders actually believed that every human being is given by God the same rights to Life and Liberty. We know this because they said so.

unfortunately the average gamer today is not as informed as most gaming enthusiasts on this website. the advent of mobile gaming and streaming services is all the more reason for more casual gamers to join in. they are simply unaware of how they are being taken advantage of.
Sadly is not just lack of information (in a time when you can know about anything with a single click) about the hobby you are interested in.
Is also, in part, the pursue of instant gratification…you dont want to grind and play x amount of hours to get this cheap crap? well, pay x amount of money and get it now (thanks mobile games!).
Add to that, that your average normie doesnt have too much time to play (work-study, having a life outside of your hobby, etc) so whenever they have the choice to pay for something over having to work-wait for it, they will do it.

Sure, but i think people who supports those practices dont care too much about it even when they are well aware of them, they just see it as an option (and it is “optional”, but publishers do all the effort in the world to let you know that you can pay a “little” extra) when we all know how much damage does to the product.

The first option, because adults have somewhat sustainable income, if they’re eligible to waste so much away. Contrarily, most kids can’t work legally (with the exception of few countries where they allow 16 year olds) nor they have pocket cash to spend, if they do for lootboxes then it’s a major issue. On top of that, most kids lie to their parents about in-game purchases so yeah… I would never allow my own children to even own video games, if they want one, work for that… Parents objective should be to support their child up until their adulthood, but past that the rest of the path of their lives he/she must dig by themselves.

Never have i or my friends since we start gaming with “Doom”,”Quake”, “Duke Nukem 3D”,”Diablo” and “Warcraft II” in the mid 90’s have bought or played or paid or got any MT’s in any Fifa,NBA,NFL,FFS game and we have no desire to do so.Those sports games are cancer.
It’s easy to see why these will always sell so high no matter the controversies and complaints: what else are you gonna buy if you like basketball? Because of how licensing works there can’t by any competition, so nothing will change and they can do whatever they want, people don’t have alternatives so they’re gonna buy it anyway.
Franchises at their worst. I would at least hope they put out a NBA2k1 next gen console update to be fair, but I doubt they will.
