  1. Awesome overhaul for a fantastic game, beats the new episodes pretty easily even without this mod, i hope someone could port the console exclusive chapter to PC someday

  2. RTCW is one of the best FPS ever made. If anyone hasn’t played it then they definitely should.

There used to be a site dedicated to mods for the game. I’m not sure if it’s still up but I’m sure mods can be found on Nexus for it.

    1. maybe with this mod, as its own its as much as a mess as the other 2 games these devs made, redneck rampage and kingpin life of crime.

      1. I agree for Redneck Rampage, but Kingpin is awesome and RTCW is legendary, sure it has it flaws like any other game but not that much to consider it a mess

        1. kingpin is a mess, at least redneck rampage has interesting maps and weapons, rtcw is flawed, you can tell that alot of parts of it were not polished or playtested.

          1. The only thing i didn’t like about Kingpin is the music, it had like 2 or 3 tracks looping for the eternity, otherwise i liked everything in it, the AI’s pathfinding is among the best you can encounter in any game including recent one, weapon modification was cool, the visual feedback on injured enemies was impressive, and the RPG elements and interactions with NPC were refreshing for the genre back then.
As for RTCW i don’t really know what you’re talking about, i mean the only part that felt off for me was this lose and retry mission where any triggered alarm leads to a game over, maybe the labs with overpowered ennemies too, but everything was in the good standards back then

          2. Unbalanced in RTCW ?? Only happens with the monsters in the labs because they’re spongy and fast AF and the female SS because of hitscan, but it’s like barely 10% of the game

          3. Really ?! It was manageable, a bit of an a**hole at higher difficulties but like any other hitscan motherf*cker from this era

          4. hitscanners dont instantly hit you, the at least have a turning animation, that was “if you are not behind a wall i damage you” Also that damn tessla attack.

    2. Yup!
I love it! The crypt levels made me nearly soil my pants as a 12yo playin it back in 2001!
I will play it again with this mod…was really looking forward to this mod’s release!

  3. Great game in its day and the music was epic. I rember buying a new GPU just for this game to run it maxed out and it looked amazing on my old CRT. Level design back then was so important to developers a pity we seem to have lost that nowadays.

  4. Just bought the game on Steam for 1.38€ (god bless key resellers) but the mod on steam is currently having some problems and you can’t install it. Dev is aware of it and working with Valve on a fix
