World of Warcraft Shadowlands has been delayed

Blizzard has announced that World of Warcraft Shadowlands has been delayed. Blizzard was originally planning to release World of Warcraft: Shadowlands on October 27th. However, it appears that the team needs a bit more time in order to further polish it.

Blizzard claims that the game has not slipped into 2021. Thus, this new expansion for WoW will come out later this year (or at least that’s the plan).

As Blizzard stated:

“However, as everything started coming together and we’ve been listening to and building upon your feedback, it’s become clear we need a little more time for additional polish, and to balance and iterate on some interlocking pieces—particularly those related to the endgame. Shadowlands is one of the most intricate expansions we’ve yet created, and while we’ve made great progress, the challenge of tuning the endgame was compounded by the team having to work from home.”

As we’ve already reported, World of Warcraft Shadowlands will support real-time Ray Tracing. Blizzard will be using ray tracing in order to enhance the game’s shadows. You can find some comparison screenshots here. You can also find the game’s official PC system requirements here.

  1. Well, we all know that’s bulls**t. Activision/Blizzard has never, ever cared about polish, or quality for that matter. Just look at the last 10 years of that dogs**t company.

The only reason they get away with it with COD, is because it’s same pile of trash game every year, with a new application of makeup.

    1. There could be a change coming though. People are getting more and more vocal about how egregious Acti/Bliz has become in the past couple of years so I wouldn’t be too surprised if they are trying to restore some of that goodwill they lost.

I doubt though, that releasing a polished working game will do it. Shouldn’t that be a bare minimum?
