Nvidia is expected to release their next-gen GeForce RTX 30 series of Ampere Gaming graphics cards later this year. We have been hearing a lot of rumors lately regarding the launch dates. We have previously heard about the September 17th launch date. And now according to a new report posted by GamerNexus, the RTX 30 series will reportedly be revealed on September 9th.
There is a possibility that NVIDIA could announce these cards on September 9th, followed by an official launch on September 17th. This new information allegedly comes after discussions with Nvidia’s board partners/AIBs, so there is some legitimacy in this report and rumor. But similar to all hardware launches, Nvidia can change its reveal/launch dates if it wishes. We can expect some early company teasers to be shown as well, prior to the reveal date.
We can expect the GeForce RTX 30 series of gaming cards to go on ‘pre-order’ the same day of their announcement. The ‘Founders Edition’ series of graphics cards will be the first to get announced and then launched at a later date.
Custom third-party AIB board variants are expected around October/November timeframe. According to Wccftech’s internal sources, several AIBs have already started scheduling their press sample allocation with the cards shipping out in a few weeks.
We expect Nvidia to announce the following SKUs:
- NVIDIA RTX 3080 Ti
- NVIDIA RTX 3080
- NVIDIA RTX 3070
- NVIDIA RTX 3060
The GeForce RTX 3070 will most probably launch a month later in October, while the GeForce RTX 3060 mainstream GPU is expected to launch around November.
Hello, my name is NICK Richardson. I’m an avid PC and tech fan since the good old days of RIVA TNT2, and 3DFX interactive “Voodoo” gaming cards. I love playing mostly First-person shooters, and I’m a die-hard fan of this FPS genre, since the good ‘old Doom and Wolfenstein days.
MUSIC has always been my passion/roots, but I started gaming “casually” when I was young on Nvidia’s GeForce3 series of cards. I’m by no means an avid or a hardcore gamer though, but I just love stuff related to the PC, Games, and technology in general. I’ve been involved with many indie Metal bands worldwide, and have helped them promote their albums in record labels. I’m a very broad-minded down to earth guy. MUSIC is my inner expression, and soul.

Good. Finally we are coming closer to the launch date it seems ! I’m more interested in Big Navi though, since we already know Nvidia will release killer GPUs with Ampere.
Can AMD really compete this time in the high-end segment ? I have my doubts.
Excellent, time to upgrade to RTX 3080.
Well considering hardware is in demand, if they are decent price/performance you can bet that stock will be hard to get hold of unless you get an order in quite early
I cant wait for the 2000$ video cards to be announced <3
>_>
Here’s hoping AMD will provide some competition in the high-end segment this time. It will be very difficult to leap forward 2 generations though and simultaneously keep prices to a reasonable level.
I fear for my wallet.
Meanwhile, some more rumors from ‘Wccftech’, though there seems to be slight contradictory info if you compare this with Igor Lab’s previous prediction/rumor. Nonetheless, you can read their article.

To quote the author/ Usman Pirzada:
“The crown jewel of NVIDIA’s lineup is the PG132-10 board with 24GB of vRAM. It is going to be replacing the RTX 2080 Ti and is currently scheduled to launch in the second half of September.
We then have the PG132-20 and PG132-30 boards, both of which are replacing the RTX 2080 SUPER graphics card and will have 20GB and 10GB worth of vRAM respectively. The PG132-20 board is going to be launching in the first half of October while the PG132-30 board is going to be launching in mid-September. It is worth adding here that these three parts are likely the SKU10, 20 and 30 we have been hearing about and the SKU20 is going to be targetted dead center at AMD’s Big Navi offering (and hence the staggered launch schedule). Since AMD’s Big Navi will *probably* have 16GB worth of vRAM, it also explains why NVIDIA wants to go with 20GB.
The PG142-0 and PG142-10 are both going to be replacing the RTX 2070 SUPER and will feature 16GB and 8GB worth of vRAM respectively. While the PG142-10 has a known launch schedule in the second half of September, the PG142-0 board has no confirmed launch date yet.
Finally, we have the PG190-10 board which is going to be replacing the RTX 2060 SUPER graphics card and will have 8GB of vRAM as well. The launch schedule for this board has not been decided yet either.”
8GB of VRAM is still pretty much okay for today’s standards IMO, but, on which Screen resolution/refresh rate you play Games ?
Anything pushing 4K in modern titles like RE2/RE3, easily pushes more than 12GB VRAM.
Yeah, that might be possible if playing on 4K. That’s why I asked for his screen resolution.
are all nvidia geforce rtx 3060-3090 will full support of PCIE 4.0 ??
3080 should be a very good performer for high refresh 1440p.
