Someone has finished DOOM Eternal in under 31 minutes

It’s been a couple of weeks since DOOM Eternal released, and someone has already finished the game in under 31 minutes. Which is pretty crazy if you think about, and even more crazy when you watch it. Seriously, take a look at the video, it’s completely bonkers.

Speedrunning is nothing new in gaming, but recently it’s getting more attention. Titles like DOOM & DOOM Eternal are excellent games for speedruns. Player Distortion2 finished the game in 32 minutes. However, in case you don’t already know, most speedrunners use glitches in order to create shortcuts.

You can watch the speedrun video below and see how Distortion2 utterly brakes the game for his own benefit. Of course, I’m fairly certain that someone will soon beat his time. Nevertheless, creating such a video requires dedication, skill and focus, so kudos to Distortion2.

  1. Good games, but totally broken lol. In this and 2016 they literally just clip through a wall and fly to the end of the level.

    1. well most speedrunner need to completed the main champaign several times to find the glitches, shortcut, etc. since most MP mode kinda sucks these days, i wouldnt mind doing speedrun after completing main story. they only problem was im suck on most game i played. so watching those speedrunner is fun for me.

    1. I like DOOM 2016 just like you, but i don’t agree with you about the story, it’s what i like the most in Eternal, so much stuff going on in the background. a game from zero story to a complex one. but the combat system and HUD is way better in DOOM 2016 even the weapons design.

      1. Totally agree with you about how sh***y the story is narrated, DOOM 2016 is a perfect game in every aspect, even the placement of the weapons was logic, and god i really hate the floating stuff all over the place, and on top of that the way they drown you with wave after wave of demons, DOOM Eternal is just made for fans, but nonetheless i really enjoyed reading the codex and stuff from the wiki. And at this time i don’t see DOOM Eternal as a sequel to DOOM 20016 but purely a remake to DOOM II.

  2. i can’t get over how bad this game’s enviroments are, how fake the detail is. No map or room makes sense, they are so basic in layout and design and feel like quake 3 mp arena maps, there’s no logic to the environment, everything is low poly with detail faked in from textures.
I’m not even mentioning the fact that you are forced into a kind of play style you might not really expect or want from a doom game, etc

  3. That’s stupid it uses glitches and basically cheats? So then I cheated too and beat doom in 1 second??? Duhhhh
