Originally, Doom Eternal was planned for a release in November of 2019, but Bethesda delayed the game in order to give more time to id Software to further polish the title.
The delay was not a surprise at all, since all the recent Bethesda releases were not very successful. Now, with only two months away from the release, we have a brand new story gameplay trailer.
DOOM Eternal will be a direct sequel of the 2016’s DOOM reboot. Players will once again step into the boots of the legendary DOOM Slayer. The reboot was very successful and as an old time fan of the series I have to say it was a hell of a game, simply fantastic.

I love how you assume I haven’t played any of those games, I have. It’s almost as if this is a subjective thing and there isn’t any objective best FPS game released. Or that this has anything to do with graphics, because the best looking FPS released was Ion Fury to me.

its abundantly clear that the entire game is tying to look like doom 2, the plasma rifle looks like the old games, zombie men have green hair and the same face as doom 2, the pain elemental is in the game, its no diffirent with the main character he now looks like he did in doom 2, he even has exposed arms with big muscles.

My problem is the milenial cringe they shove in it, for example in wolfenstein 2 at some point whats her name pulls two auto shotguns and takes down multiple enemies with blood splattered all over her naked body with her t*ts flapping around while pregnant, wtf? Same goes for other games but to a lesser extent for example rage 1 made in texas all characters were essentially cowboys and the women were hot, well apart from the grandma, all the characters had their style, look at rage 2 made in sweden, sure it doesnt take itself seriously and mocks itself but every character is a degenrate cringe stereotype, butt naked punk with neon mohwak and robotic arms on the ground and 2 other characters are messing with, him or another character that is a shop owner who goes “Beep boop” when you talk to them like robots. They thought this is funny but its actually cringe and the entire game is like that. Then you got the outer soyworlds that every character looks like an ugly androgenous feminist with neon hair. all of them. Its like they try to make everything as ugly as possible, whats the point of hd graphics if you gonna make things mundane and ugly? Meanwhile in doom, just look at the architecture and the armors. As for american krogan, he is probably more right than wrong since the game is basically designed designed with western ideals in mind like christianity h3ll, crusades, heaven, heavy metal, but i dont think you gonna save the world from the demons, i think the idea is that heaven is corrupt and you must destroy heaven. Hopefully they dont censor the “demons can be a offensive term please refer to them as mortally challenged” and “earth is the melting pot of the universe”

Interesting comment so I just viewed it again with that in mind. What I noticed specifically in relation to lighting was the near total absence of reflections for the various neon-coloured special effects of the weapons. Presumably a sacrifice to maintain 60fps on the weak sauce consoles. Hopefully the PC version won’t be so limited or will feature ray tracing effects.
