New amazing screenshots released for the Unreal Engine 4 fan remake of Goldeneye 007, GoldenEye 25

The team behind the GoldenEye 007 N64 fan remake in Unreal Engine 4, GoldenEye 25, has released some new amazing screenshots from it. These screenshots showcase the Control room and let us tell you that it looks absolutely stunning.

GoldenEye 25 is a fan-driven mission to remake GoldenEye 64 single player in Unreal Engine 4. This will be a free game and the team plans to release it in August 2022 on the PC.

As always, the following screenshots are WIP and do not represent the final version. Therefore, the team may change some assets and may further improve the visuals before releasing it.

We first informed you about this GoldenEye 007 fan remake in October 2018. Since then, its small team has been constantly working on it.

My guess is that the team will be able to complete this fan game if it does not receive any C&D letter.

Enjoy the following screenshots and stay tuned for more!

  1. Surely that C&D will be less likely to come now that they’re getting websites to cover them.

Looks good though, but this sh*t is going to crash and burn soon enough. I just can’t get excited for these fan games, to many of them get C&Ds, and to many of them are barely good if they do somehow survive and get released.

I can, however, appreciate how they look updated in modern engines and modern graphical standards. This does look good despite it probably never seeing the light of day.

    1. Every time there’s a news story on us people bring up the C&D and say it will get shut down soon. But that comes from a misunderstanding of the rights situation surrounding GoldenEye. Bond fan projects such as GoldenEye: Source and Goldenfinger 64 have been around for many years without being shut down.

As for the game being any good, well, I admit this is the first game I’ve made mostly by myself (one other person helps me by doing music and sfx). I’m committed to making a high quality game though. And I will work on it for as long as it takes to become a good game.

  4. I just wondering why there’s no new James Bond video game anymore. They can make an original story just like that new star wars’ game…and of course must include se* scene, because its Bond. If Witcher can put se* scene on the games, why cant James Bond games?

  5. Why put “remake” in quotes? That’s exactly what this is – a faithful remake of GoldenEye with some modern amenities. This isn’t one of those projects where I just grab a bunch of random art assets and throw them together in a level. I’ve been working on this for 2 years with over 2 years more to go.

    1. Don’t take it personally, the guy that wrote it is kind of an idiot. Basically a toxic gamer with a blog. How it has any traffic I have no idea

  6. Looks awesome… But 2022… Seriously… doesn’t matter which game it is… Too far to care. My cyberpunk hype has already died from being shown this game like 4 years ago.
