KOEI Tecmo has released the first screenshots Nioh 2. These screenshots showcase some of the in-game 3D models, as well as some of the environments. Aesthetically, the game looks similar to the first game, something that will definitely please its fans.
KOEI Tecmo did not reveal any platforms for Nioh 2 yet. However, and since the first Nioh was a commercial success on the PC, we expect its sequel to also come out on our platform. It’s worth noting that the first Nioh originally came first on PS4, so the very same thing could also happen with its sequel.
A new gameplay demo will be shown at the Tokyo Game Show 2019 event next month. Tokyo Game Show 2019 begins on September 12th and ends on September 15th. Here is hoping that the publisher will also reveal some additional details about it.
Unfortunately, the publisher has not revealed any story or gameplay details about Nioh 2. As such, there is nothing more to share at this point. So yeah, go ahead and enjoy the following screenshots, and stay tuned for more!

They have a far way to go to get prerendered pictures to look even relatively good to From Software’s ingame cutscenes.
“from software in-game cutscenes”? Who gives a flying fuq about cutscenes. This is 2019 cutscenes should be rendered in game not pre-rendered and take up rediculous space. Besides from softwares games usually look like schitt. With exception to Sekiro, all of the Dark Souls looks like utter Schitt, graphically. You are talking as if from software is “the standard”, sorry to burse your bubble butt they are not. Sekiro, I’ll give em credit for, but before that… They’ve produced utter Schitt…
Yes FROM is the standard.
Yeah, standard for schitty ports, 30fps gameplay, nonsensical stories, schitty combat system, rolling around the ground like a pr*ck, ripping off manga/severance. Yeah sure, standard for plagiarism and schitty gameplay.
You mean Bloodborne 30 fps cutscenes?
I’m amazed this even got a sequel.
Why would you be amazed this is the best combat in its class. These are the same guys that created ole G Ninja Gaiden. You remember ninja Gaiden Black, one of the toughest games in history.
I didn’t think it sold that well.
Exactly! I was like “WTF?” when I read that comment, it sold well with around 3 million units. It’s a legit Ninja Souls game with it’s own flavor and mechanics and has a following.
I know it’s not for everyone but I am really hyped for the second and pumped they made another one!
Looks like PS3 title.
Whilst agreed it doesn’t look that impressive you must be joking. Seriously go back and look at how bad PS3 games really looked and don’t rely upon your nostalgic memories.
Nice, this looks really good and better than the first one(which I thought was solid).
Was a fan of the the first game so I am looking forward to playing this!
honestly, nioh way better than dark souls series…it has tons of customization and animation with verity of quests, its the real deal folks
Graphics were not Nioh’s strong suit, they were adequate, but the gameplay was what made it great. I was pleasantly surprised by the first game and spent over 100 hours in it. I’ve got high hopes for the new one.
