Need for Speed 2019 game to be called Need For Speed Heat according to latest leak

As we’ve already reported, the next Need for Speed game will be released later this year. And according to the game’s page on Austrian store Gameware, this new NFS game will be called Need for Speed Heat.

Gameware has also leaked the boxart of this new Need for Speed game. Now while Gameware was quick to react and removed the boxart from its store, Nibellion was able to capture some screenshots and share them.

Unfortunately, and other than the game’s name and boxart, there is nothing more to share.

Back in May 2019, Ghost Games claimed that it was concentrating  on the quality of this Need for Speed game instead of promotional events (which is why the game was not showcased/revealed at EA Play 2019).

Our guess is that Need for Speed Heat will be using the Frostbite Engine, like its predecessors.

Stay tuned for more!

  1. >Ghost Games claimed that it was concentrating on the quality of this Need for Speed game instead of promotional events (which is why the game was not showcased/revealed at EA Play 2019).

Yeah… that doesn’t sound good at all. It’s a weird decision to not build some hype before the launch of the game.

    1. i have not played any nfs games from ghost games but i played nfs 2012 and hot pursuit remake which is made by criterion and dear god i freaking hate the driving mechanics, cars dont turn. Is this how ghost games makes them because some of them are from criterion.

  2. Denuvo anti-tamper technology and always online will keep pirates well away from this game.

    1. and just like that we found out that kim has two accounts because no one takes him seriously with one.

  3. People have been asking for YEARS for a new Underground. It would sell like crazy. I can’t believe they didn’t make it yet.

    1. Uh, no. Underground 2 sold around 11 million copies and entered the “best-sellers” of each console PS2’s Greatest Hits, Xbox’s Platinum Hits, and GameCube’s Player’s Choice.

      1. Wrong again, according to Electronic Arts, Need for Speed: Underground 2 sold above 8.4 million units worldwide by the end of 2004.

      1. you mean 2015? I played the run, 3 hour linear scripted game. boring without much of choosing cars and no customization or open map. WTF WERE THEY THINKING?

  4. Anyone else miss the original “NFS Most wanted” ? Did u like the game or hated it? comment plz

      1. What i didnt like about 2 is how the map is filled with turns, THE NEED FOR SPEED, but you need to brake constantly due to tight corners. Also the last parts of the game take place in race tracks…because you know, repetitive 12 laps in a race track with chill music is what underground racing is all about.

        1. Yeah I didn’t like the race tracks either, but the sheer amount of customization, the map, the graphics, the music and the cheesy story overshadowed the issues I had with it.

    1. First time i played it i couldn’t race due to how realistic the backgrounds look, i was always lost looking at the backdrop instead of the road, it felt like a gta game or something to my eyes. Then i played it further but i stopped at blacklist 8-9 because i couldnt finish it, i think thats because of the rubberbanding, fck that sht no racing game should have that trash. Also i think this is where the guy with the viper is who has the worst rubberbanding without patching. The way the tracks are designed, long linear highways, and the way the nos regeneration works, it regenerates too fast, it makes the entire game one giant sprint on straight lines making sure you dont hit anything and using nos all the time to maintain the highest speed possible. Exhilarating, but there are times you are at the last lap near the end and you crash on something or a cop crashes or the ai catches up with the rubberbanding and they win and you are like FFFFFCK FCCCCK FFFCCK NOT AGAIN, FUUUUUUUUUUUU. There are no difficulty options or cheats. On top of that the cops are really annoying with their spikes and truck wall blockades. Then you got the drag races which suck but most importantly you really luck money in the game, you can just barely get by without replaying the races, which i didnt know it was possible. Every time i got busted i alt+f4 the game. Finally there is less customization, less bumpers and skirts, less vynls, no neon or any other stuff from 2. So overall it was great but i think they missed some stuff. Of course it was downhill from there, carbon was basically a cheaper underground 2 with super cars, i played it a while got bored and stopped. Then pro street came out and it was no longer underground, I gave up on the series Then undercover came out and it was essentially a easier most wanted taking place in miami style enviroments, horrible graphics but had alot of races and cars and customization, i played it got bored, forgot about it and later finished it while listening to podcasts. Then years later i played all the nfs up to the run, apart from shift.

      So

      1.undergound
2.undercover (less annoying than most wanted)
      3.most wanted
4.undergound 2 (the race tracks have too many turns and the championships that take place in the airport or race tracks are just long and borring, i want to race underground damn it not in tracks, i would play shift if i wanted that)

The rest are not that interesting.

    2. I loved it but it really dissapointed me when i finished the game and there was no Nissan Skyline , that’s why i only finished it once , but it is still one of the best nfs ever.

  5. And it will be super grindy games just like the previous, because….make EA get tons of money from microwavetransaction
