Red Dead Redemption 2 feature 2

The recent Red Dead Redemption 2 and Bloodborne PC rumours are fake

A rumour surfaced earlier this month, suggesting that Red Dead Redemption 2 would be announced for the PC on April 22nd. However, and as I’m pretty sure you are all already aware of, that date has already passed and there hasn’t been any announcement yet about a possible PC release of RDR2.

This rumour originated from 4chan. 4chan’s member BL3LKR claimed that the game was meant to be announced for the PC on April 22nd and that it would come out in June 2019. The same member later claimed that Super Mario Odyssey would be coming on the PC, and that Bloodborne was also meant to come out on our platform. Furthermore, all these aforementioned games were supposedly meant to be releasing exclusively on the Epic Games Store.

Since it’s been more than five days since April 22nd, I believe it’s safe to say that this was a false rumour. As such, and given the fact that this 4chan member wasn’t credible at all when it came to RDR2, we can also assume that the Bloodborne rumour is also fake (BL3LKR claimed that his Super Mario Odyssey “prediction” was a test, however we can now say that all of his predictions were fake).

Now I do have to say that a timed-exclusive release of Red Dead Redemption 2 on the Epic Games Store does sound possible (that is of course if the game does hit the PC). After all, Take-Two is already releasing Borderlands 3 as a timed-exclusive on Epic’s digital store. However, it still remains a mystery when this open-world title will be ported on the PC.

So yeah, while it could be possible to see Red Dead Redemption 2 on the PC, the official word – at least for now – is that the game is exclusive on current-gen consoles with no plans to bring it to any other platforms. Moreover, all these recent rumours have been proven to be false, so we wanted to let you know about it (in case some of you were still wondering about them).

  1. Well, everyone can make a rumour…i can tell that the last of us and Uncharted 4 coming to PC and call it a day..

  2. Guys, when will you accept it? Rockstar WILL NOT release Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC. Ever. They never released Red Dead Revolver or Red Dead Redemption 1 and have consistently said it is a console exclusive series. Stop being dumb and falling for this scheisse.

You only have yourselves to blame.

      1. Yep, I already have both the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions on my PC courtesy of Xenia and RPCS3 respectively.

Both emulators continue to be improved on a regular basis so the speed and glitches are steadily being improved and ironed out. Besides, the game on consoles including even the recent makeover on Xbone X runs at 20-30fps anyway.

    1. “Rockstar… have consistently said it is a console exclusive series”

      Citation needed.

Also, saying something “is a console exclusive series” is thus far an obvious statement of fact. It’s not the same thing as saying it will remain exclusive to consoles.

    2. PSST MORON, Red dead revolver was made by san diego not rockstar north who makes the gta games. Red dead redemption run on the early version of the rage engine, it could not be ported it was a mess, look at gta iv that had a later version of the engine. Max payne 3 shipped with the latest version of the rage engine not gta v. Gta v for next gen had the latest version of the engine and was released for pc. Not to mention bully and manhunt 1,2 are ported to pc.

There is no reason not to release it to pc.

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A CONSOLE EXLUSIVE SERIES. We heard the same bs about final fantasy 15, bayonneta, vanquish, tekken,, dragons dogma, etc etc.

      1. PSST R**ARD, why havent they ported Red Dead Redemption 1 then? How many years have they had now? Why would they release Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC before any of the others when they tie together? Are you capable of rational thought?

Rockstar dont have to do sh!t. They have more than enough money to worry about PC and dont owe anyone sh*t. Not that I condone it. I think they are complete C%NTs and would never give them dime 1. As far as I’m concerned they can keep their trash.

Oh, and no such thing as console exclusive series huh? God of War? Uncharted? Or lets go more old school… Super Mario Bros? If you want to play any of them natively on PC, you’re sh*t out of luck… and will be till the end of time. Consoles NEED exsclusives to sell them. The best you can hope for is for someone to make a good emulator that runs well and then rip the roms.

So do everyone a favor and shut your r**arded mouth before I come over there and b!tchslap you 🙂

        1. ” Why would they release Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC before any of the others when they tie together?”

Because there arent any games on pc that the sequel is on pc while the first game is on consoles only?

Look braindamaged monkey, you have no idea how porting works. so shut up.

“Are you capable of rational thought?”

Are you capable of understanding how porting works? You cant port every game without a lot of work, there is no reason to port an old game for no reason, its better to design the sequel with multiplat focus eg fable 3 is on pc but not fable 2, than try to port an old game not made for pc just to port it and end up with a giant mess, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 comes to mind.

We heard that story before “hur dur no final fantasy 15 on pc” and “hur dur no gta v for pc” sorry moron, rdr 2 is coming. After all pc is getting games it would never get such as the yakuza series, ace combat

“HOW COME THEY PORTED ONLY THE LAST ACE COMBAT AND NOT ALL THE REST…HUR DURRR IT TIES IN, YOU CANT DO THAT”

Speaking of which rdr 2 is a prequel, just like yakuza zero, so who cares.

then you got games like okami, vanquish and dragons dogma getting a pc release not to mention monster hunter and many monster hunter clones.

“Oh, and no such thing as console exclusive series huh?”

Do you have cigarette butts in your brain? This is what you said

“They have consistently said it is a console exclusive series”

There is no such thing as a console exclusive series, if there is money to be made by porting it to pc they will do it and there is. its easy money and since rdr online is dead, cant milk people with microtransactions.

You unbelievable autistic child. Now wipe by white fluids of your face and crawl back the hole you came for in disgrace.

    1. Still upvoting your own infantile comments and continuing your desperate one-man personal crusade against the site owner. gg

    2. Microsoft already stated that ALL xbox games are coming to PC. Just a matter of how long.

    1. At least on PC courtesy of RPCS3 Sony have no say in the matter albeit they’ve already made the game available to PC owners via PlayStation Now. ?

  3. rdr 2 is crap compared to the first one. Bloodborne is nowhere near as good as dark souls or sekiro.

    1. i played rdr2 and it’s far superior to the first one. the sluggish 30fps makes them both unplayable though.

      1. the story is crap and its often too boring, sure it has better graphics but overall its so boring.

        1. open world games are all boring, this one gives you a little bit of entertainment before getting to that point. i’d still say that rdr2 is superior compared to rdr1 in every regard.

  4. Red Dead Redemption 2 will surely hit the PC sooner or later, unless Rockstar likes to lose customers and millions of dollars in revenue, I think Rockstar has not yet reached this level of insanity !!!
Red Dead R 1 is already on the PC in its best version, because it can already be played in 4K 60 fps in the xbox 360 emulator (Xenia) on a good PC !!!
As for Bloodborn I think unlikely, but we have better options on PC like Sekiro and Dark Souls 3 for example !!!

    1. > it can already be played in 4K 60 fps in the xbox 360 emulator

Are you making stuff up along the way?

Xenia doesn’t have 4K support, currently it’s limited to x2 of original resolution, which means the max you can get is 1440p.

And you do not get anything resembling a stable framerate, much less 60 fps.

Finally, the game isn’t “playable”, you cannot progress in missions.

      1. Okay, my dear president of Russia, Red Dead Redemption does not run at 4k and 60 fps fixed on the PC, but it does reach the 4k and the 60 fps in the PC, an extraordinary feat since the Engine sucks and the PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles run the game porcally !!!

Copy and paste in your browser the links from youtube below !!!
Playstation vs Xbox Emulation | Red Dead Redemption | RPCS3 vs Xenia

Red Dead Redemption 1 4k PC emulador Xenia xbox
        https://www.youtube.Com/watch?v=S0LpQWROt3w

And yes, you can play the game on PC and soon due to the extraordinary progress of the emulator in recent months, surely soon the game can be played from start to finish !!!

        1. Why do you keep saying 4K?

The video you linked is running the game at base 720p resolution, it’s stated in the video…

I say it yet again: Xenia does not have support for 4K, the maximum you can do is 1440p at the moment.

And the game on Xenia is very far from being actually playable, on RPCS3 you can complete it from start to finish but performance is awful.

    2. The best experience on PC for RDR1 is to cap the game at 30fps in Xenia , anything over it brings terrible unstable glitches , and you need a decent cpu with a GOOD GPU to be able to play it at 1080p 30fps stable , im not sure if you can even save the game yet , there’s a bunch of problems with Xenia but the game is somewhat playable , still has a long way to go , RDR1 doesn’t run at 60fps anywhere , not even on Xbox One X enhanced , quit exaggerating.
If you want to try the game on Xenia , you’re probably looking at something like 2600x/8500 + GTX 1080/RTX2060 , The RX 590 will already fall a bit short for 1080p , but should be fine at native (720p) , Xenia in many ways is a lot better than RPCS3 , but what you gain in one side you lose in the other , Xenia is much more taxing on the GPU.
I’d say that console exclusives like DBZ Raging Blast should be played on Xenia , and ofc the PS3 exclusive can only be played on RPCS3.

  5. that’s obviously obvious that it’s fake. pity some pc pirates thinking it be coming lol. time to gitgud. gitaps4 🙂

  6. It’s me again. Famous DSO leaker. So i got some great news, and some unbelievable news. Halo: The Master Chief Collection will be announced for PC on the 12th of March. The unbelievable news, it will be coming to Steam. It will not get a Epic Games Store release, this is not a time exclusive deal. The reason being is Microsoft/343 Industries made a deal with Valve/Steam, allowing them to take full advantage of Steam’s player base to sell the game to hundred of millions of new potential customers. I also hope John write a post about my leak, so I can have enough laugh for the weekend.

  7. Just because it didn’t happen on the 22nd doesn’t mean that R* & Take-Two weren’t originally planning on that date. I’m not saying that is what happened; however it is possible, after the leak came out, that they just decided to wait in order to destroy the leaker’s credibility or just out of spite.

I agree with others who are saying RDR2 for PC is too big of a market for them to ignore. In my opinion, if they don’t release it on PC, it could likely mean that console makers are colluding with R* & Take-Two to maintain a shared monopoly, which only exists to force consumers to buy one of their crappy, overpriced consoles.

I am not saying that R* should be forced to make a PC version, however they also shouldn’t be taking money from other businesses purely to help them maintain a monopoly over the market. In my book, if they did that then it constitutes an illegal act.
