Here are 15 minutes of new gameplay footage from Anthem

IGN has shared a video, showcasing 15 minutes of new gameplay footage from Anthem. This video shows the entire Lost Arcanist mission from start to finish with a three man team of the Interceptor, Storm, and Colossus javelins.

In Anthem, up to four players explore and battle in a dangerous, mysterious place populated by great characters and a unique BioWare story. Players will also create stories of their own while they play, so no two journeys are the same. Javelin exosuits make their pilots powerful heroes in the world, with awesome weapons and incredible special abilities that allow for combat and exploration in a hostile environment. Players will be able to customize and personalize their suits with unique paint jobs and gear so they’ll have the right tools to confront almost any situation, and look good doing it.

Players will be able to experience the game themselves prior to its official release. A VIP demo will be available on January 25th and the same demo will be open to everyone on February 1st. Contrary to other demos that are called these days “betas”, the Anthem demo will be representative of what players will experience in the game at launch day.

Anthem releases on February 22nd and the progress you make in both the VIP and the open demo will not transfer to the final game.

Enjoy!

  1. I don’t feel anything when I watch this game. It’s not bad, it’s not good, it’s just insanely average looking and I’m absolutely sure it will be a massive hit like Destiny was and will be something I hear about being amazing for years to come.

    1. I do feel something, disappointment and insecurity for the future of videogames.

” I’m absolutely sure it will be a massive hit like Destiny was and will be something I hear about being amazing for years to come.”

Dont know why you think that, there doesnt seem to be much hype for this, feels like a flop to me.

      1. This game screams normal everyday gamer material whom doesn’t care about game-play and just wants to sit around and play a game with their friends, completely and totally. It will do extremely well.

Everybody I know who fits that description wants this game, and is hyped for it somehow.

        1. Because you know what it’s going to be: a monetization scheme masquerading as a video game. I recently bought Injustice 2 and discovered the whole “Mother Boxes” random generation feature and found it to be nauseatingly deception and exploitative. It makes me not want to play it because it’s clearly(like all these lootboxes-enabled “games”) just a legal gambling app wrapped in a video game and that rips me right out of the experience.

When I know that a game is playing me, I don’t want to play it.

  2. have you ever played a mobile game and said to yourself that wow man, i’m glad games on my pc don’t suck like this? have you wondered how these corporate companies would force those format and type of games on mobile phones to your pc? answer is this game, this is how they introduce that type of games to you without you noticing it. this is where i’m glad that there are some useful autists out there who use twitter to shet on devs and companies who go too far.

    1. devs nowadays are talentless hacks who look at METRICS to get that micro transaction…MONEY….pathetic.

    1. Mate i wish it had sjw story in it, at least i could cringe at it, this entire video has been a chore to watch, its so boring and uninteresting, so generic, been there done that, i wish something sjw happened so i could wake up from the deep sleep this video put me in.

      1. The image is in relation to the words I quoted rather than this game per se. You may recall the now since defunct EA BioWare Montreal’s blatantly and repeatedly racist SJW dev’ having posted an image of himself drinking from a mug featuring the words “White tears” on it.

        1. yes and he was immediately given a platform on vice’s motherboard to cry about white people…as predicted, apparently he also had something to do with Wallenstein which explains alot

          1. Purely for amusement value I just viewed his Twitter profile. I naturally expected the absolute worst and in that respect he didn’t disappoint. It’s overflowing with SJW cancer. In his profile bio alone he’s stated,

“President/Creative Director of a diverse video game studio (Announcing in 2019). Fighting for a Black & Brown future”

            – so, unwanted and lonely Manveer is now reduced to working on a no-name game for his own backwater no-name ‘studio’ that’s yet to be announced
            – gotta get the buzzword ‘diversity’ mentioned though!
            – common to SJWs he’s still utterly obsessed with race
            – those 15 minutes of infamy at the defunct BioWare Montreal must seem so very long ago

    2. bioware and ea are just robots, companies without souls (which a business company should be). they don’t understand what sjw is, they don’t care about it. all they care about is that page in marketing books where it says you have to appeal to social groups and movements to improve image of your company so that it leads to a bigger profit. do you remember them donating to poor fcks or whatever couple years ago when they were voted as the worst american company?that’s because it says in the books you have to donate to charity to improve your image but these dumb fcks don’t understand that it is the kids who buy their games, not social groups and not politicians and not anyone else. as you can see ea is suffering from management, someone with extremely low iq and competency is pulling the strings. how do you even expect them to understand what sjw is when they don’t care about it?bioware and those cucks on twitter are nothing but puppets.

    3. also the reason that makes me disgusted when i hear the word sjw is the fact that it is so stupid. it’s like anti flat earthers. we get it earth is flat but sometimes anti flat earthers get on your nerve for trying to correct something so stupid. this is the same thing for me.

  3. I feel depress when imagine that have to play this kind of bland boring mission like a 100 time just to grinding for new pant or suit.
This game will became fashion show game because game play have nothing new

so people will just grinding or paid for new stupid suit just to show off.

    1. It looks genuinely depressing, i had to push myself to watch this till the end. Its exactly like destiny, division, borderlands and warfarme. But worse, the voice acting is worse, the armor design is god awful, i mean chrome armor with a chrome metal cape? Really? They use generic uninteresting weapons and spam mmo skills on generic cannon fodder enemies. Then you got the whole flying part, you dont seem to use energy when flying, but you do when sprinting, in that case why not fly all the time? The environment feels like it has no use whatsoever to the gameplay, you can just fly around, no need for cover, no need to traverse the environment by climbing or something. Its like you use noclip and fly around shooting everyone to the face, it feels like cheating, imagine playing just cause or saints row iv but you can fly and noclip around the entire game, so boring. I dont get who the target audience is this, dude bros who still play destiny i guess.

I will be very dissapointed if this game sells well.

    2. As long as consumers continue to support games like Anthem, devs and publishers will continue to pump them out. And you can’t blame them, unfortunately.

The whole “games as a service” thing is likely going to eventually sink the industry.

      1. “As long as consumers continue to support games like Anthem, devs and
publishers will continue to pump them out. And you can’t blame them,
        unfortunately.”

True, but most people don’t want to hear about that. They want to lay all of the blame for the sh*tty practices common today at the feet of the Publishers/Developers while ignoring their own part in encouraging more of the same by giving the Publishers money for garbage games and garbage microtransactions to begin with.

Publishers/Developers certainly are a part of the problem but the gaming community (not everyone of course) is part of the problem too.

        1. Yup. Companies will always take the path of least resistance to get your money. Companies can only partake in behavior that is rewarded by the consumer or end user. None of these publishers or devs are too big to fail but they won’t fail if gamers keep paying them to maintain status quo business practices.

    3. Yup just more microtransaction-filled, soulless apps disguised as games for the mainstream “try hard” kiddos who care more about looking cool for female gamers and their “bruhs.” It’ll be built to ride the top of Twitch (constant advertising) and designed to look cool for a few hours so people rush to buy it “cause Shwoud, Cohh, and Liwik told me it’s ahsum.” God I hate that I know who they are.

It will definitely focus on streamers who need mindless gameplay so they can pay half attention to it while the other half of their goldfish attention span is spent “engaging with muh chat.” Twitch was the WORSE thing to ever happen to video games once marketers realized that could use streamers as advertisers to happily peddle their trash.

Can’t wait for their “It’s cool to hate EA.” comments they’ll be spewing in defense of their meal tickets and industry favors like top streamers did with that abomination known as FO76. “Oh but I’m just a lowly gamer like you – and not at all pretending I got paid to love EA.”

Brace yourselves; the paid streamers are coming.

    1. Judging by the Youtube comment section of all the videos on it, no you’re not, there are plenty of people who want it to come out.

      1. After ME3, Dragon Age Cisquisition and ME: Andromeda, I don’t think there are people who are willing to fall for the Bioware antics. Also EA got caught several times hiring paid shills and bots.

        1. All games that were financial success, you should try using examples that don’t prove my point that normal everyday people don’t care about controversy and just play video games.

          1. Yes, yes, yes. I’m sure the game that constantly referred to as generating REVENUE for a company in a financial report wasn’t a success. Oh wait, that generally doesn’t happen.

  4. I don’t like saying that but this game has no soul. Everything is so bland, there’s no story, no interesting characters, the world and the universe look and feel empty. The 4 classes don’t even look like they belong in the same game/universe.
    RIP Bioware.
