Back in May, we informed you about the Korean game rating board listing Sunset Overdrive for the PC. And even though Microsoft has still not announced anything official yet, the ESRB has followed by also rating this Xbox One-exclusive game for the PC.
Sunset Overdrive is an open world action-adventure third-person shooter that came out to Xbox One in 2014. In this game, the player assumes the role of an employee of FizzCo who has to fight off the Overcharge Drinkers: humans who have turned into mutants after drinking FizzCo’s energy drink beverage. Players can can wall-run, use zip-lines, and grind rails to swiftly navigate through it, with a large arsenal of weapons to use.
Here is the game’s description according to its ESRB rating.
“This is a third-person shooter in which players assume the role of a young survivor battling through a mutant apocalypse. As players traverse the open-world of Sunset City, they use assault rifles and fantastical weapons (e.g., grenade launchers that shoot teddy-bear bombs, guns that shoot fireworks) to kill mutant creatures, robots, and occasional human enemies. Combat is highlighted by frequent explosions, screams of pain, and gunfire. Some explosives cause enemies to be dismembered, leaving limbs around the environment; one cutscene briefly depicts a character’s head cut off by a mutant. During the course of the game, characters and environmental elements reference sexual behavior or humor (e.g., “Oh, such a bold statement! It says, ‘I am a prostitute!’” and “How hard was it to make a porn flip book?” ); a radio ad contains a running joke about a sex burger (e.g., “It’s so good you won’t be able to contain your urges to rub it all over your Sex…Burger”). The dialogue contains a handful of drug references (e.g., “You guys have been eating weed” and “Oh, when I get back with your drugs, we’ll discuss my offense at your assumption that I would know where to find drugs”). The words “f**k” and “sh*t” also appear in dialogue.”
Our guess is that Microsoft may officially reveal the PC version of Sunset Overdrive at its upcoming XO event on November 10th, so stay tuned for more!

I honestly don’t know why this hasn’t happened sooner. The game launched at a time when XB1 was still struggling, so the sales couldn’t have been great. This is a chance to give it a second wind, and honestly, there isn’t much like this on the PC right now so I think it will be received well, assuming it’s a decent port. *assuming this is actually a thing*

Not really, see what you missing here is that Sunset was launched at the time where Xbox would still recieve exclusives, something that just in case you missed MS stopped doing. The same thing is by no means applicable for RDR2, since the game is multiplat from the start and everybody knows it’s comming from PC it’s just a matter of time, because only a blind fanboy would believe that Rockstar would just ignore the money they made from GTA V on PC that could also be done with RDR2 on PC.
Do you really think that Rockstar will released Red Dead Redemption or Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC? They never released any game from this series on PC. Why do you think that this time will be different?
I think that they don’t released it on PC. There are 110 milion consoles without any piracy. No piracy at all… BTW. Probably 95% of “PC gamers” have also at least one console and already play. New consoles like Xbox One X cost 399 usd with RDR2 included on Amazon
OMG stop being so stupid. RDR was made by a different rockstar studio on the first version of the rage engine, Red dead revolver was not made by rockstar it was not even open world. GTA iv was a mess, max payne 3 shipped with the lastest version of the rage engine that was optimized for pc and then the re-release of gta v had the latest engine. It will come for pc. I mean what kinda stupid argument this is “HUR DUR THE SERIES NEVER CAME OUT ON PC” You mean one game that run on a rage engine that was worse than the one used in gta iv? Come on. Get real.

8 years ago the PC gaming landscape looked different. Piracy was blamed for lower sales and consoles were still king. iirc they said that they wouldn’t release RDR1 on PC because it wouldn’t be worth the trouble financially to do a port.
Today things look different and PC gaming is number 1 in revenue. They have the potential to make several hundred million dollars from a PC port and porting is easier now.
They might keep the game on console only but it would be foolish to do so.
They want you to double dip. Buy it on console and later on PC.
Now Forza Horizon 2 pls and XOne can be officially forgotten and useless.
Forza Horizon 2 is never ever coming to PC. Some car manufacturer licenses have expired for that game and it has even been delisted from the Xbox One Store since September 30, 2018. The only way to play it now is if you already owned it digitally or play the disc version of the game. Same thing happened with Forza Horizon 1 in 2016 and Forza Motorsport 5 in 2017. It is safe to assume Forza Motorsport 6 will be delisted in 2019 and Forza Horizon 3 will be delisted in 2020.

I don’t see many people concerning themselves with an older, inferior version of what just landed. Even if the licenses hadn’t expired I doubt they would make their money back on the port.
Maybe the setting, a sport-like sim like Forza Motorsport doesn’t need old episodes as the newer is indeed better and has the same content than the older one + new stuff/new graphics… But in the case of Horizon, even if the newer ones are better, the setting and the atmosphere can do the trick with the older one, i personaly prefer Australia in FM3 over England in FM4 even if FM4 is definitly a better game

It will come to Steam 9 – 12 months later just like Recore, Halo Wars DE, Killer Instinct, and Quantum Break did. The only games that will stay Store exclusive are going to be first party titles with big names like Gears or Forza or Crackdown. We’ll probably see a State of Decay 2 steam version before the end of 2019 for example.
