Here is Red Steel 2 running with 60fps on the PC thanks to the Dolphin Wii emulator

YouTube’s ‘reznoire’ has shared a new video, showing Red Steel 2 running with 60fps on the PC thanks to the latest version of the best Wii emulator, Dolphin. In order to play the game, reznoire used a wii remote that is currently supported by the emulator.

Furthermore, reznoire used the following PC system in order to capture this gameplay footage: Intel Core i5-7600k, EVGA GTX 1080 FTW2 and 16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3200.

Red Steel 2 is a first-person shooter/hack and slash game that was developed by Ubisoft Paris. Set in a desert-bound, high-tech metropolis, Red Steel 2 takes full advantage of the capabilities of the Wii MotionPlus accessory, meaning that your movements are faithfully replicated on-screen, putting the emphasis on swinging, shooting and fun.

Enjoy!

    1. In most cases the most recent dev build is the best one to use. 5.0-7507 is the most recent right now, but it gets updated multiple times daily.

      1. Thanks. Some times I’m unsure whether to try current-latest builds in case they’re experimental with certain key features disabled. I’ll give that latest one a try soon then.

    2. Not for me im using ishiiruka build 758 stable because all the dolphin build after 5.0.373 introduced a huge slow down for rogue squadron games.
Besides red steel 2 run perfectly on my pc since dolphin 4.0.2 on my old 3770k 4.2 ghz so this video is not that impressive.

      1. Thanks. I’d heard of the ishiiruka builds but haven’t yet tried one so maybe it’s time I did.

  1. It’s been a decade and I’m STILL baffled by their decision to go cartoony with the sequel. What were they thinking? The original had a fantastic art style, it looked genuinely good and modern despite being a Wii game! It was one of the few somewhat “mature” Wii games and they make the sequel a cartoon?? Obviously it didn’t pay off or there would be a Red Steel 3.
