Shadow of the Tomb Raider will be officially revealed today, however Amazon has just leaked the first screenshots from it. These screenshots showcase some of the game’s environments, as well as the new 3D model for Lara Croft and some of her weapons.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider will be released on September 14th and later today we’ll find out more details about its story (and we’ll most probably get a gameplay trailer).
It will also be interesting to see whether the PC version will come with a PC benchmark, and whether it will support the DX12 API. The latest version of Rise of the Tomb Raider works incredibly well now, and has improved CPU scaling in CPU-bound scenarios, so we are really looking forward to this new Tomb Raider game.

First thought when I saw that stormy island.
Well, its Tomb Raider since 1996, Uncharted is 2007 aka Indiana jones clone.
He probably means these new tomb raiders look like uncharted, not old ones, it’s clear uncharted copied from old tomb raiders, but these last 3 look like the other way around.

This new TR franchise is basically multi-platorm Uncharted!
screens look like the console version. i hope the pc version get tons of dx12 features and some ray-tracing support.
DX12 has been biggest disappointment ever for me, and basically has brought nothing to PC gaming, with even the nefarious async compute being a joke in reality.
Ray tracing support will not happen probably, and you need a volta gpu to use it according to Nvidia driver.
I’ll be happy if it just runs well and looks as good if not lettle better than last one, as that was stunning anyway.
Uncharted 4 looks better, but I prefer tomb raider gameplay wise.

If you take a look at the 2013 one and the remaster for xbone/ps4 and the 2015 one you can see that her face is completely different. So its possible they changed it again.

I hope it’s the last Tomb Raider game with that team. The previous game was quite bad, the story and the locations were boring as hell. They should let someone else write the scripts, Rhianna Pratchett isn’t really good at it.
I read that this will be the last TR game but I doubt it. This one is being done entirely by Eidos Montréal, the folks behind Deus Ex and Thief. Crystal Dynamics worked on the previous two and as far as I know they have no involvement with this one.
Boring locations? For me rise of tomb raider is one of the best games I have played lately. Locations were beautiful (snowy mountains looked like real) and graphics was amazing as well. Gameplay was also amazing, I have completed this game two times already and I still like to play it from time to time. Shadow of the tomb raider is must buy for me 🙂
I like the game but no the locations and gameplay werent “amazing” and that comes someone with a snow fetish. Far cry 4 had better snowy enviroments.
There are many games with snowy enviroments (the thing, crysis 1/warhead, uncharted 2, forza horizon DLC, until dawn, horizon, tom clancy’s the division just to name a few) but no game impressed me that much like rise of the tomb raider. When it comes to Far Cry 4 I havent play it to be honest, but I’m looking at screenshots from this game right now and I have no idea why you like it so much :P.

During my rise of the tomb raider walkthrough I have made over 230 screenshots, and I’m not a guy who likes to take screenshots. IMO game looks beautiful in all locations and this is the only reason why I have taken so many screenshots :).

Well, the locations were better than the 2013 one which were basically a brown and grey mud fest, the byzantine setting was pretty decent. But compared to the older games, yeah they are insanely boring.
Tomb Raider (2013) was great
Rise of Tomb Raider (2015) was a bigger TR (2013) but gameplay was getting a bit stale IMO
Hope Shadow of the Tomb Raider (2018) is better.

I was waiting for this but looks like last gen game at least graphic wise.. I was hoping for a big update to visual but nah.. still the same as 2013.. well will play it cuz Love this series just hopping its better than 2015
