The Elder Scrolls Online hits 10 million players

Bethesda has announced that The Elder Scrolls Online has just surpassed 10 million players. In order to celebrate this milestone, Bethesda announced some new events and offers for this online title.

From now and until December 6, players will be able to take part in a massive sweepstakes competition and free-play periods. Moreover, there will be an in-game dungeon event for the chance to win a host of in-game and real-world prizes.

The Elder Scrolls Online brings the award-winning Elder Scrolls experience online for the first time. Using ZeniMax Online’s Megaserver technology, players will join one connected world with a built in social network. Furthermore, the Megaserver technology avoids the hassle of shard selection and makes The Elder Scrolls Online one of the most socially enabled games ever created.

It’s worth noting that the game does not feature any subscription model. Players will have to only buy the game in order to play it. Furthermore, Bethesda is offering the Gold Edition of The Elder Scrolls Online with a 50% discount. This offer will last until December 7th.

Those interested can get the game now or wait until a free period has been announced. Back in November 2016, Bethesda launched a free weekend for The Elder Scrolls Online. That free trial offered access to the full The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited base game. As such, we are pretty sure that the upcoming future free trial will also allow unrestrained access to the base game.

On November 30th, Bethesda will launch a new free week for The Elder Scrolls Online. According to the publisher, all new ESO accounts will be gifted 500 free crowns for use in the in-game Crown Store. As such, players can pick up some useful items such as potions, XP Scrolls, food, or an adorable pet. Moreover, those who’ve played ESO during previous free-play events will find that any previous characters and progression will remain.

Enjoy!

  1. Started to play ESO about two weeks ago. A random dude gave me a Steam key in Twitch chat. 🙂 So,I took the opportunity, thanks to the man. As much I not into MMO’s,the game is enjoyable. Can play it as a SP game, and can group up with others. Beautiful locations. Quests are well done.
Going to play it for a bit. 🙂

    1. It really bums me out, how much I wanted to keep playing F4, but I can’t due to the mass performance issues that the game suffers from. No matter what hw you throw at the game, you’ll suffer heavy fps dips from going anywhere near the bigger city settlements, as well as areas that involve heavy light ray and particle effects.

I’ve tried all sorts of mods to help tone down those issues, but none of them seem to completely do away with them. The game is literally unplayable for me, and as such, it remains uninstalled within my library, never to be opened again.

      1. There’s something wrong with your PC. My youngest daughter using a i3 6100 and RX 460 can play fallout 4 60fps no issue. maybe back off the settings a little and honestly the game lagging in one city means very little over the course of the campaign.

        1. Nothing wrong with my PC afaik. I’ve been able to play all sorts of indie and AAA games at 1440, near ultra settings with 90+ FPS. All that with a GTX 1080ti, i7-6700k and 8gb DDR4, with multiple SSD/HDD drives.

I’ve tested all the settings, vanilla default and then with performance mods, all results are still the same.

The game is far from perfect, let alone stable.

          1. There’s no reason you should be getting frame drops at all with that hardware. its on your end, it has to be. Seriously people with your hardware show off FO4 at 4k at 60fps…

          2. But it isn’t though, because I just told you before what my hw is and also that I’ve run a myriad of other AAA games and indie titles without any issues. It’s the game through and through.

Game again, is far, far from perfect.
