HITMAN has surpassed 7 million players

In an interview with GamesIndustry, IO Interactive’s CEO Hakan Abrak revealed that HITMAN has passed 7 million players. Not only that, but according to Hakan this number rises on a daily basis.

As Hakan said when asked about it:

“That number is rising daily. And these aren’t dormant players; these are highly engaged players in Hitman.”

For comparison purposes, HITMAN hit 5 million players back in August 2017. In other words, it took IO Interactive around 3 months in order to increase its playerbase by more than 2 million players.

It’s also worth noting that IO Interactive has acquired the rights of the HITMAN franchise from Square Enix, and that it has removed the Denuvo anti-tamper tech from it.

Last but not least, IO Interactive is already working on the next HITMAN game. As Hakan revealed a few days ago, the team is making great progress and has some exciting new features and franchise firsts. The team will reveal the next HITMAN game in 2018!

  1. this game is worst gpu performance theft in recent time. clearly has some invisible elements dumping down fps. example with gtx960 high settings. 45 fps on average
enter toilet in 1st training mission on boat. close the door and look at it. boom way over 60 fps. now position camera so you will see only small fraction of outside when door will be open and open it. boom 45 fps in the face.
performance theft and planned obsolescence to sell more cards in game with bf3 level of graphics. but 7 million sheep like it
