Skipping to about 9 minutes in will arrive at the stage when the character is waking up and is about to go on a mission. Cloud Imperium Games has also said in an email:
“We’d like to thank our backers for their support, and our devs and QA testers for all their hard work on the presentation.”
“Events like Gamescom are a great way for devs and backers to come together to discuss and celebrate Star Citizen. The excitement and enthusiasm is not only inspiring, but also a welcome reminder of why we’re all working so hard to deliver the best damn space sim ever.”
Alpha 3.0 for Star Citizen was scheduled for release in August but due to some stability issues found within the game it has been delayed to early September. Hello! My name Jak Connor I’m based in Australia and I picked up PCgaming as child when I was around ten years old. I mostly played RTS games back then, putting many hours into Age of Empires 1/2 and Age of Mythology. My love for PC gaming grew and stayed with me as I now have a passion for gaming and the amazing technology jumps developers show us all the time. I pledge that I will be bringing you fine people of DSOgaming the most unique and interesting news I can find!
It will be delayed again..
But my god I’m excited to play this!
It’s delayed till October
afaik september
Nothing is going to come out in September or October. There is clearly no game there to release.
All wrong 3.0 will come out shortly, it’s not “the game”, it’s an alpha of part of the game, but exactly when it comes out, depends on fixing the blocking bugs, some of which were clear to see in this demo.
You are seeing all of the development, normally hidden from us.
Instead of a slick misleading cinematic trailer, like with No Man’s Sky.
You get a janky live demo, not afraid to show current progess.
How anyone can compare, the lies of NMS, with the only project showing the true progress, is beyond me.
This is a first in a trilogy of single player games, and the most advanced MMO ever attempted, and all made openly.
When I backed it I wrote it off as a long shot, and it still is, but I have more confidence in this than in any publisher rushed trash.
It will fail, or release when it’s finished, not to add to the publishers end of year earnings, like Mass Effect. I’ll be satisfied, succeed, or fail, that the attempt was made, because it would never have been attempted by EA etc.
You are naive for thinking what is shown in the demos is representative. It is not, these are carefully polished areas. They put lots of effort into these demos and after all that the demos still strike even a believer (you) as unfinished. What they’re showing is always the best case scenario for their current content pipeline, and they are working on the pipeline itself still, after so many years. They are not in the process of creating a vast world, they are STILL building the tools to do so.
“This is a first in a trilogy of single player games”
If they don’t run out of money making part 1.
[Assertion that they will release something on the set date, no matter how broken]
I really don’t think so, I think they will push the date again. Pretty sure they did it with other such dates in the past, why not again?
Dam… still can’t wait
god this game is boring as shet
Have you played the full release? Nah, didn’t think so
people like you told me the same thing before no man’s sky was released, are you that dumb to think final product is going to be that much different compared to this?yes you are, screenshot this comment.
People like me? Do you know me? No, you don’t. As for No Mans Sky, I havnt played it and I don’t have any desire to play it, Star Citizen in its current state isn’t even a game, it a bunch of buggy as hell test modules to show how each section will work once the game releases in god knows when. You haven’t got a clue have you? I get it, it’s cool to hate Star Citizen as it’s been ridiculously successful in its crowd funding, and is regularly in gaming news outlets. But you carry on being cool and hating with the rest of hipsters.
PS. I enjoy the odd game of Call of Duty too, fill your boots and mock that
no i don’t know you and i don’t want to, star citizen will not be what you think it is going to be, it’s a boring pile of shet and it’s going to remain that way, the only thing i’m going to mock you about is how your regular life must be if your brain functions like this
What a thought provoking comment that was, you must be fun to be around.
If you have no interest in Star Citizen why are you even opening the article? let alone going to the comment section and leaving such masterpieces of literature for us all to read.
Star Citizen may turn out crap, of course it could, You sure as hell don’t know, and neither do I, know one does until it’s finished, right now I I’m having still having fun in the buggy as hell PU and Star Marine with friends, I must have racked up over 100 hours just messing around, I don’t find it boring, you may like Dota2, Counter Strike or League of Legends, 3 of the most popular games in existence today, I find all 3 very boring but I won’t go insulting people of forums about there choice of game.
Not everyone like the same stuff, crazy thought isn’t?!
Now before I block you is there any more words of wisdom you would like to share? Perhaps you would like to mock me for thinking the Nintendo WiiU was one of best consoles ever made, due to the fact it had some of the most fun games I have ever played
That’s funny…to me NMS has always been from the very beginning to good to be true and little to no info about it’s development progress was to be found even few months away from it’s launch date…therefore no buy for me.
On the other hand I backed SC in late 2015 after official announcement of the actors involved in the project. Mainly because 3 of my favourite actors were involved.
Do note that NMS and SC are targeted at different audiences and also differ slightly in categorization.
not too good to be true, gameplay mechanic, camera, walking, fov and everything screamed trash game, you’re dumb if you think it was too good to be true type of game because nothing in that game was promising since it was announced.
also you’re dumb if you think i compared no man’s sky to star citizen, the whole purpose of me using the no man’s sky example was to showcase low brain capacity of people who think final products are going to be different from alpha or beta versions.
no man’s sky and star citizen have nothing in common except being gigantic piles of boring dog shet
No Man’s Sky was “too good to be true” and Star Citizen is not? Star Citizen is promising 3 whole games, a singleplayer space combat thing with full Hollywood motion capturing and what-not, a HUGE SPACE MMO and on-foot combat. Even a large company like Blizzard with reliable cash cows to milk for steady funding would take a long, long time to make even one of these games. And the “indie” developers manning this 3-games-in-one project? They keep adding new gimmick features for advertising even though nothing they originally set out to do is finished. Star Citizen is NMS on a steroid, HGH and insulin stack.
Two and Half Hours of lies
All I see is two consoles s h i ll s MAD cuz it’s only for PC
??????????????
I have faith in Chris Roberts but GOD he’s testing it…
Only another decade or so and this cult fanbase might finally see V1.0 of Feature Creep: The Video Game.
I don’t diss this game or anything, but the feature creep is goddamn astounding!
I skipped around a little. Everytime I let the footage roll for more than a couple seconds something was going wrong like a player had vanished because his computer crashed or a character’s animations had stopped working etc. And the rest of the time the player was running around or literally doing nothing.
5 years and the game is still in a pre-alpha state. Every year they show it off and they’ve got new features but somehow the stuff that’s been there all along barely improves. The flight physics still look bad, the player movement even jitters a little, not sure if that’s old or new. The graphics get nicer but honestly just enough to stay contemporary. This company is quite clearly producing nothing but demos. Here’s the same little hangar we showed off before, now with some shops. And then FACE TECH. That’s not what the game needs, the game needs fun flying and combat and ACTUAL CONTENT. Missions. Enemies. Instead you get No Man’s Sky with moar graphics.
