Konami welcomed members of the PES community and journalists for a presentation of PES 2014 on July 4th and 5th, and as you may have guessed, some new details about this new soccer title were revealed during that event. Thankfully, our reader ‘Satsaritza’ – a member who attended the show – has sent us some key features that were discussed.
According to Konami, PES 2014 will hit Steam on launch, as well as other digital distributors. The game will come with a new stat system, using a combined stat page to equate values. In addition, goalkeepers will have their own stats as well. Furthermore, a new system has been implemented to prevent cheaters.
Here is the full list of the features that were discussed:
-The weather will affect the game and make the kits dirty
-Goalkeepers animations have changed considerably
-Players will be able to change teams and coach a national team in Master League mode
-League mode for multiplayer online will be available on PES 2014
-There will be more emblem slots on Edit Mode
-Third kits will be available in the game or as DLC (no plan for paid DLC)
-There won’t be offline community mode but additional features on myPES will cover that
-PES 2014 will be available on Steam and other online services on the release date
-PES 2014 will have new stat system, using a combined stat page to equate values. Goalkeepers will have their own stats as well
-New system to prevent cheaters
Konami also plans to release a demo for it, although we do not know the exact date for it yet.
PES 2014 is planned for release on PC, X360 and PS3 later this year and will be powered by the FOX Engine.
