Focus Entertainment has released a new 6-minute gameplay trailer for Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2. According to the publisher, the game’s Creative Director, Oliver Hollis-Leick, narrates the video. In it, he explains more about the main story, multiplayer modes, and how players can level up in the game.
This trailer finally lets us enjoy more than one to two minutes of gameplay footage. And, man. The amount of enemies on screen will seriously “wow” you. At times, Space Marine 2 feels like a Serious Sam game. I really liked everything that Focus presented in this trailer. Let’s now hope that the single-player campaign will be lengthy and of good quality.
In Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2, you get to be a powerful Space Marine, one of the Emperor’s greatest warriors. The game promises to offer awesome abilities and really strong weapons to wipe out the Tyranid enemies. You’ll also be able to unleash your skills and take down relentless hordes.
Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 will be powered by Saber Interactive’s proprietary engine. This engine was also used in World War Z which ran extremely well on PC. So, we are curious to see how this new Warhammer game will run with its dozens of enemies that can appear on screen.
Focus Entertainment will release Space Marine 2 on September 9th, 2024. For those wondering, the publisher hasn’t revealed the game’s official PC system requirements. As soon as it does, we’ll be sure to share them with you.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

Saber's engine is truly impressive, which makes sense when the graphics developer of the Xenia Xbox 360 emulator is the lead rendering coder in their Russian subsidiary, where Space Marine 2 is made.
That guy is an absolute genius, with extremely deep knowledge of both DX12 & Vulkan.
Which makes me curious to see which API this game will use.
AFAIR, World War Z offered both DX11 & Vulkan, yet no DX12.

"its been a century since the last game"
certainly feels like it, speaking of feeling, the hordes and the coop remind me of war z, if this game is like that, then i dont care.
It's made by those people, it's definitely a high tier reskin.

Yeah Russia has quite a few talented people when it comes to programming. Alexander Sannikov comes to mind, he works for Grinding Gear Games, mad lad.
The surprise is probably chaos, everyone knows they're in the game.
I would prefer fighting orks instead of chaos.
Actually looks amazing.
As long as the SP campaign will work without requiring an always online connection then Im interested.
It looks really cool, and says there's a solo campaign which is my thing. However I'll wait for a first person view mod. I wish games would give the option to toggle 1st and 3rd person view. Probably too much extra coding and not that easy to implement.
looks pretty sweet and I loved the first one. but the magic disappearing reappearing chainsword just bugs me.
