Fntastic has just released a new trailer for its Unreal Engine 5-powered MMO, The Day Before, showcasing 10 minutes of gameplay footage from it. This trailer will give you a glimpse at the game’s graphics and gameplay mechanics.
The Day Before is a new open-world MMO survival that takes place in a deadly, post-pandemic America overrun by flesh-hungry infected and survivors killing each other for food, weapons, and cars.
The game aims to be a cross between The Last of Us and The Division. Furthermore, it will have elements of PvP and PvE, pitting you against other players and the game’s take on zombies called infected.
From what we know, The Day Before will support both DLSS 3 and Ray Tracing. According to NVIDIA, there will be ray-traced Reflections, Ambient Occlusion and Global Illumination.
Lastly, the game will release on November 10th. Last month, Fantastic stated that it has delayed the game due to some trademark issues.

Is it just me or there’s literally nothing special/new compared to older games like the first State of Decay, which came out 10 years ago?

I guess we’re really entering the true dark ages of gaming now, where the only reason you could have to play a new game would be because it “looks better” than old games. Like when blu-ray came out, and I bought the exact same 80s movies I already had, just cos I wanted the higher resolution.
