Following the new screenshots we shared a couple of hours ago, CD Projekt RED has also released a new trailer for its highly anticipated RPG, The Witcher 3. This is a really gory trailer, showing Geralt fighting and beheading enemies. Enjoy!

No matter how fast they are moving that camera they can’t hide shity LOD with blocky background objects and very bad/flat environmental textures and That grass…. It really looks like something from PS3 era not even close to modded Skyrim’s grass standards.
This game has transformed to something completely different from SOD trailer. Even Watch Dog didn’t degraded so drastically.
Each screen and each trailer are worse and worse…..

Usually I don’t give a rats a*s about the downgrade crowd but to be honest this trailer looks like an improved Witcher 2 on a GFX level rather than the eye popping awesomeness of previous trailers.
I think that’s the first time they shown that bombs can gib people.

You might have a case of selective blindness. Have things changed? Yes. All for the worse? Absolutely not.
People keep bringing up the first trailer and “how great” it looked when it was a horrible ugly mess full of sharpening artifacts. It had more dense foliage? Yes it did, it was the same foliage as Witcher 2. WITCHER 2 FOLIAGE MOVES TOO but the current foliage also reacts to the player character, hell whole trees and branches move now, sway wildly too.
What about the shadows? Earlier they were cheap hard black shadows, now they’re soft shadows, but I guess you’re too busy to care about any positive changes.
Water? Severely upgraded, earth and sky apart.
Weapon/Armour reflections/look? Not even in the same universe because of Physically Based Shading.
Oh but no, woe is the PC Gamer, getting the bad end of the stick! My persecution complex! People like you is what PC Gamers a bad name, who think they’re ‘fighting’ for something and everyone is out to get you. “Oh it wasn’t like that in the olden days!” clearly suggests such people haven’t actually been there in the ‘older days’ where there was so much hardware and API fragmentation with things like Glide, D3D, AGEIA PhysX etc etc but I digress…
I am never going to associate myself with such a crowd anymore. Used to be that the worst fanbase title was given to Sony. Now? I think the crown might be changing hands.
Is the console hardware not matching the beastly PCs spec wise? Obviously but so called ‘beastly’ PCs are STRUGGLING because of DirectX11, it’s hilarious. Meanwhile those small pieces of engineering can extract wayyy more performance out of the same hardware than a PC ever could. So before you also go on a rant about consoles, learn about how hardware works and the Strengths and Weaknesses of PC, because *surprise* your blindly worshipped platform has many weaknesses too.
“If the game was PC only it would have been better.” If you only decided to make a game that runs on the 970/980 and Titan X perhaps, otherwise? Just because great hardware exists does not infact mean most people are using it. Infact, the most common GPU is the GTX 660 and the consoles can evenly match that. Hell the perform better than the 660.

Out perform a 660… Damn no. Both console can’t match even a 550ti. As it can run most games on same quality of consoles but at 60 FPS
You’re forgetting that the CPU is a bottleneck, you can put a 980 there(theoretically) but your framerate will still be the same because what’s stopping you is the CPU.
Bottleneck ? Did I ever heard from some devs that its occurring in both consoles…

The only thing that I don’t agree with what you said is that consoles has similar power of gtx 660..because it obviously don’t but I don’t believe you have to own the best hardware to enjoy a game cause I used to play at720p in a non gaming laptop before upgrading to gaming PC.Just enjoy the game whatever platform you play and don’t think about graphics too much..story and gameplay is what matters most,and as long as the developers such asCD Projekt exists I am hopeful for the future of gaming

The bottom screen was part of a set from Nvidia’s site and they’ve since been removed because it was revealed they had a bunch of settings turned off. But I doubt any of those settings make the wall architecture look at good as the first image.
I would be really sad if downgrade keep me from playing Witcher 3 dayONE, just because I’m well accustomed with consoles crappy hardware.
So I’m fine with downgrades. Console running games on high settings of PC…That’s a good bullshit. Only dumb people to credit it as true.

Well 11 more day’s then we get to see if CDPR pull’s a Ubisoft. Maybe they are just trolling the cry babies until the final product comes out.
Then they will cry their hardware is not good enough for the Game on Ultra using all the Gameworks effects….
